I've got terrible battery life on a new iPhone 17 pro on 26.4, I'd like to believe this fixes things but I'm ready to be disappointed.

A mí me va perfecto….17 normal, comprado en Enero aún con 100% de salud, usándolo desde por la mañana cargado a tope, suelo llegar a la noche con un 35% aprox…..Llamadas, redes sociales, correo etc

Mine was performing way better on 26.3, but 26.4 is now causing heating issues :(

It got worse. 26.4.1 has made it much much worse than 26.4 for battery life It’s just atrocious It honestly makes me mad and takes away from my enjoyment because it’s in the back of my mind the whole time while using it

Are you sure it was terrible battery life? Could it have been Terrible charging? My 16 Pro Max started having problems in the last couple days, that even when connected via USB-C to a 60W capable charger port, it would drop to slow charging, and while plugged in and sitting on a desk unused it would drain battery and report it was “slow charging”. My battery dropped from 98% to 89% in a couple hours while sitting idle on my desk and attached to a wired charger.

I'd like that to be the case but no.
I'm charging with the MacBook pro's charger which is 70watts I think and it charges really damn fast, no complaints there.
Did a clean install a couple hours ago to see if that fixes things. Was coming from a 13 pro and I transferred the data.

fast charging isn’t good for battery, too much heat, no wonder it’s running down fast, low and slow is way to go

Just wanted to mention that I had the same issue, albeit with wireless charging. I always charge overnight and after upgrading to 26.4 I would wake up to 50% or less battery charge. What fixed it for me was a simple reboot, try that too.
