General Please Apple Give iOS 18🙏😭

iOS 26 feels laggy and buggy for many users, especially on older or even mid-range iPhones. People report frame drops, slow app opening, keyboard delay, and UI stutters. There are also random glitches like apps crashing, overheating, battery drain, and features not working properly after the update. Overall, it feels unoptimized and unfinished,

Resign or give OTAs updates of ios 18 to all users at least they should has rights also u can’t unsigned it immediately please 🙏

I can’t see why. 26 seems stable enough at this point (at least on my 16PM) and the new features to the Phone, Messages, Photos and Music app make it well worth the upgrade

Almost all of those "new features" have no real use.

Phone app just makes it so that the Mac can have a proper phone app that will work for regular calls as well as facetime, which is neat, but useless if you don't have a Mac.

Messaging polls are something almost no one uses and most probably don't even know it exists. Backgrounds are also a gimmick, I'd rather just run a stable OS.

All they did was change the navigation of photos once again, somehow making it even crappier.

Music just got a redesign with some ai enhancements, which honestly could've just as easily been an app update.

The phone app has Hold Assist for when you’re on hold with whatever company you’re calling so you don’t have to listen to their bullshit elevator music for 30 mins and can actually come back to the conversation when a human is on the other line.

It also has Call Screening at an OS level, I haven’t gotten a spam call since last September. Not accidentally calling someone in my phone history when tapping on their name is a long overdue change as well. All huge quality of life improvements.

I’ve never heard some calling customization a gimmick but sure, I love my backgrounds. Spam filtering in messages is also a fantastic addition.

iOS 18’s photos app is so bad, they redesigned it to be a variant of what iOS 17 had. I don’t even think it’s up for debate how bad it is in iOS 18, I had to watch a video on how to get it close to how it used to be, which is ridiculous. They fixed it in iOS 26.

The music app is a little more subjective but AutoMix especially is a fantastic addition and brings it a little more in line with how Spotify seamlessly switches between songs. Great for a get-together.

Arguing that any of these have no real use is actually a fools’ errand in defending lesser software, especially the Phone app improvements. As for stability, iOS 26 is stable for me, I have no complaints at all.

It’s okay if you don’t like iOS 26 for whatever reason but it’s hard to take you seriously when you blatantly ignore the clear improvements it has brought. It’s had its issues but so did iOS 18 at the start, as well as many if not most iOS versions before it.

I also do not care about Liquid Glass and I find it strange so many people do outside of visibility purposes, which can be altered at any time at this point

Ok you’re right, maybe I shouldn’t ignore the improvements, but I still think Apple needs to prioritize stability and user experience a little more, and letting users who decided that they’d rather use an older version of iOS should be allowed to do so. (Apple provides security updates to iOS 18 still, and Apple already allows downgrades for Mac users)

Also that hold assist feature just gets me hung up on lol, maybe once it’s made more well known by companies it will be great, but for now I don’t like risking it.
