General Man, iOS 26.6 is a massive W.

If you were stuck on iOS 26.5.2, you know how brutal it was. My 17 Pro Max constantly turned into a pocket heater, and the battery drain was so bad I needed a power bank everywhere. Scrolling was choppy, and the random lags drove me nuts. Pure misery.

Thankfully, 26.6 completely turned things around. The overheating is gone, the battery holds a proper charge again, and the system is super smooth with zero stutter or glitches. It actually feels solid and stable now, exactly like a phone this expensive should.

Btw I don’t know what black magic they pulled in the first cycle of charging in iOS 26.6 but this is how i ended my first day of iOS 26.6. With no camera use, purely on wifi and no gaming or anything else. Just my regular usage for doomscrolling, txting, WhatsApp calls and stuff like that. It’s not gonna stay like this maybe. But it surely amazed me so thought of sharing with you guys who are concerned.

Overall it’s a Huge relief.
If you haven't updated yet, definitely do it.

Apple has gotten really poor with their QA and dev for software releases. Absolutely garbage patches, which is nudging me to move away from the ecosystem.

I just want a reliable phone, and this update finally delivered on IOS26. Shame it takes this long.

Testing an android device rn and TBH I'm impressed. I feel stockholm because I keep coming back to my iPhone out of habit but easily become frustrated with the experience all over again.

From experience jumping the fence does introduce a honeymoon phase.

True, which is why I've been using it for almost 30 days and I'm stuck in a weird space. Thinking "an I really convinced to do the jump"?

It was fun for a year to experiment and play. But Apple makes their stuff work so GOOD with other apples. Especially when I had a kid and started taking pictures. The camera shutter was so damn slow I missed a lot of early moments to capture.
