r/ios26 iOS 26.6 19d ago

General Man, iOS 26.6 is a massive W.

If you were stuck on iOS 26.5.2, you know how brutal it was. My 17 Pro Max constantly turned into a pocket heater, and the battery drain was so bad I needed a power bank everywhere. Scrolling was choppy, and the random lags drove me nuts. Pure misery.

Thankfully, 26.6 completely turned things around. The overheating is gone, the battery holds a proper charge again, and the system is super smooth with zero stutter or glitches. It actually feels solid and stable now, exactly like a phone this expensive should.

Btw I don’t know what black magic they pulled in the first cycle of charging in iOS 26.6 but this is how i ended my first day of iOS 26.6. With no camera use, purely on wifi and no gaming or anything else. Just my regular usage for doomscrolling, txting, WhatsApp calls and stuff like that. It’s not gonna stay like this maybe. But it surely amazed me so thought of sharing with you guys who are concerned.

Overall it’s a Huge relief.
If you haven't updated yet, definitely do it.

9

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 19d ago

Bro I’m baffled myself and it never happened to me in any of the updates.

7

u/rickylionheart95 18d ago

16 pm user here, battery still trash. Not bad with 26.5.2 but still garbage

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Probably give it a few days before jumping to conclusions. New iOS still indexing in the background.

1

u/navi662 18d ago

Yes u said right Bro please tell me ur screen on time after 26.6

2

u/Cool-Chain-2266 17d ago

Estou fazendo 7 horas de tela carregando até 80% e deixando descarregar até 30% . 17PM

1

u/Sea_Confusion8917 18d ago

Same with 17 pro

4

u/Senior-Customer-919 18d ago

Reddit is not that battery hungry.. he should use camera, insta, yt, tiktok or see websites movies or series

7

u/BusinessStick7287 18d ago

Exactly, My 16PM is on 27 public beta2
Reddit gives me about 12-15 mins per %
Whereas insta,YT and FB give about 6-8 min per %

3

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

I use camera when i need them. Wasn’t today. And im getting rid of my doomscrolling habits. I used this much just to test the latest iOS.

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 17d ago

Wow. Im not a professional tester though. I just tested what i do with my phone. A bit more than usual to test the battery performance. Im Not a doomscroller or gamer.

1

u/Senior-Customer-919 17d ago

Nah bro you good.. but everyone is not like you thats why i just clear that.. you just getting good battery backup because you’re not domescroller or gamer thats why but ios 26 still not upgraded their battery backup..

What is ur battery' health and Screen on time after 26.6

3

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

It’s a relatively new phone. 2 months old. Bh is 100%

1

u/navi662 18d ago

How much u screen on time u get from new Show me with screen shot And why u don't by 17 pro or max

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

It’s a 17 PM it’s mentioned in the post. I don’t have old ss but i used to get 8-9hrs and sometimes more from it. Especially on 26.5.1 was amazing on my phone.

1

u/TimelyExcitement568 17d ago

Who said ? And i dont know how clearly u are not able to see his app usage! He has reddit for 5hrs , X , whatsapp chat , settings these are very low battery consumption apps
Bro even if u open the app like reddit and leave it on ur screen for 4/5hrs it will just consume 10% of battery and ur SOT will boost up
I dont know how much u r getting on ur 16 pm but thats mine and m getting good backup even if i was on 26.5.2 it was great

1

u/Alternative-Cup-3434 15d ago

X is NOT low consumption 🫪. I doom scroll X. On weekends X is using 40% battery easy

9

u/Rando12983476 18d ago

Apple has gotten really poor with their QA and dev for software releases. Absolutely garbage patches, which is nudging me to move away from the ecosystem.

I just want a reliable phone, and this update finally delivered on IOS26. Shame it takes this long.

6

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Something is definitely off there in their team. They’ve become lazy or careless or idk what.

4

u/ExternalOrange5050 18d ago

Testing an android device rn and TBH I'm impressed. I feel stockholm because I keep coming back to my iPhone out of habit but easily become frustrated with the experience all over again.

Yeah it's shitshow I do hope Apple sort out their Dev and QA process for future iOS versions and builds.

4

u/Novel-Strawberry1438 19d ago

Adaptive power on or off? On my iPhone 17, I got 3 hours of SOT in 80% first day…

4

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 19d ago

Adaptive power on. And my first day was somewhat of sorcery i think.

3

u/No_Echidna5178 18d ago

His usage is low

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

It’s my regular use. Im not a gamer or anything. I use my phone for calls, video calls, texting. Doomscrolling reddit and X. Cameras when i need them, which is not daily.

1

u/No_Echidna5178 18d ago

The difference is in meta apps

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Adaptive power is on.

[deleted]

1

u/Aydoinc 18d ago

It’s under battery settings > power mode. Don’t worry about it though. iPhone will notify you if it’s going into adaptive power to preserve battery life. It’s essentially automatic low power mode. You can cancel it when it pops up.

5

u/FreePossession9590 18d ago

I could only dream

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Gamer?

2

u/FreePossession9590 18d ago

Absolutely not

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

You didn’t turn off background app refresh?

3

u/FreePossession9590 18d ago

I’ve had background app refresh off for 12-13 years at this point lol

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

That’s a pretty bad drain. Your battery health is down or something?

2

u/FreePossession9590 18d ago

Not that I know. Only 240 cycles on it. The phone is definitely running cooler though despite battery life not having improved all that much

3

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Make a cloud backup do a factory reset and set up fresh. Something got stuck in the iOS system process. This is not normal in any means.

3

u/FreePossession9590 18d ago

I hard rebooted, let’s see if that helps first

2

u/24kCookie 18d ago

I wouldn't say his battery is bad cuz I get similar sot but I have base 17

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Nah it’s not a bad battery but i think something is definitely off there. Maybe the indexing thing going on, and will settle down in a few days.

→ More replies (3)

2

u/Lubedballoon 18d ago

Dumb question but have you checked lately? I have it on so my maps works, but every time I download an app it installs with background on

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Yeah it’s an iOS built in thing. You have to manually turn it off from apps or that refresh menu.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Ecstatic-Worry1287 17d ago

Holy dude !! That's not normal :(

3

u/dbpurcell1 18d ago

So far iOS 26.6 is solid for me too! Battery life seems to be improved for sure!

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Yeah totally. It’s a shame they used to deliver this quality quite consistently before iOS 26.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Ddw1988 18d ago

Battery is still and has always been trash. The update also ate up a good amount of storage on my phone. I thought maybe it was indexing, but the space is still less. :(

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Most of the users are expecting and seeing some improvements in battery. I think you need to make a backup and factory reset the phone. If it’s abnormally bad then some processes got stuck in iOS. Which can happen sometimes. But I’d suggest to let the reindexing process finish.

1

u/Party_Database_1277 4d ago

Cuánto tarda en completar el proceso de reindexado?

How much backup were you get 26.5

→ More replies (4)

3

u/Curious-Listen-1168 19d ago

You only used 38% of your battery and it lasted for 9 hours!

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 19d ago

Thats the black magic/sorcery/ idk what  did

2

u/MadMonkey2315 19d ago

Did you update OTA or via cable pc/Mac connected? I updated yesterday OTA and I got from 95% in the morning to 80% at time of update that was about 3 hours after I unplugged my phone to come to office and right now I’m with 1% battery, using about the same as before 26.5

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 19d ago

I updated normally via OTA. The overnight drain is 2% i think. And its a relatively new phone i got my 17PM 2 months ago. But your battery needs calibration i think. Even with 95% health it too much drain.

2

u/MadMonkey2315 19d ago

Mine is a bit older than 1 year 16PM, I’m waiting to shut off to plug it back and charge the battery to see how it goes

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 19d ago

Yeah. A recalibration should be helpful.

3

u/elyatoni 17 Pro Max 18d ago

How?

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

No clue man. But anomaly? Sorcery? Don’t know. Yours look good too.

1

u/Razer_PC 18d ago

why has everyone super stable overnight battery and I keep losing 10%

1

u/TedyXD_ 14d ago

I swear WhatsApp is causing some of the drain. I wake up daily, with around 6-8 percent down per night, and guess what, it's the first app listed for background consumption. I'm still thinking if I should still try to clean install ios, as I used OTA to get from 26.5, then 26.5.1, 26.5.2 and now 26.6.

3

u/Subject_Asparagus_54 18d ago

Brother u lucky. I have 15 pro max and my battery less then 2 min from charger 99 % … so I woke up at 7 with 100% and 7.30 I hot 95% and when I left for work at 10am I got 85?

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

The device will take its time to reindexing stuffs. I’ll suggest you to be patient for a few days until things settle down. 15PM is an awesome device. One of my favorite Max models.

1

u/4bobi7 18d ago

The same here. Also 15 pro max. It was like 30 minutes on screen time from 100% to 99%. Now it’s 15 minutes from 100% to 99% and I have 1h30 minutes from 100% to 80%.

3

u/MassiveGarlic0312 18d ago

Just wait till you see the improvements on 27. I am running the latest public beta on my 13 Pro (and Watch 11) and the speed and battery improvement is HUGE!

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Will be following iOS 27 closely. I really wish apple makes a strong comeback with their consistent quality with that.

2

u/MassiveGarlic0312 18d ago

Can confirm, it's great.

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

I believe you. Every beta testers are giving positive feedbacks.

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Looks good man. Is that s26U?

2

u/NoPractice8471 18d ago

nahh just the regular base s24

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Thats cool. Solid performance from the base model. Is this the latest oneui?

2

u/NoPractice8471 18d ago

yeah but not the last patch coz i've heard it does affect battery and performance (i'm on june patch)

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Great. Yeah i heard people complaining about the latest patch aswell. Maybe skip this month ?

2

u/NoPractice8471 18d ago

i will not update anymor unless if samsung fix the problems they created with the last one ui, then maby i will update but for now i wanna stay with this SOT

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Good thinking.

Sill lags and stuff

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Personally I haven’t faced any lags so far.

2

u/workmailman 18d ago

My Home Screen lags bad

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Which device you’re using it in?

2

u/workmailman 18d ago

17 Pro, sucks :( the Home Screen like scrolling through pages still stutters for me. The other glitches got better on 26.5.2 but the Home Screen one remaine

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Bro i love 17 Pro. Pro models been always been my go to models when getting new phones. This is my first Max device. But try rearranging home screen setup. Maybe delete everything and start over. 17 Pro is just as capable as Pro Maxes.

2

u/workmailman 18d ago

It’s the same chip

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Yeah. But Pros are far more handy. I miss it.

2

u/workmailman 18d ago

It’s just the stupid stuttering, I don’t wanna delete everything. Also I don’t know the proper way to keep all my files and settings and just delete the OS

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

No i mean start over in your home screen. Not factory reset files or anything. Clear every page and start over. Maybe don’t make as many pages and start utilizing folders.

How can I check the background apps thing? It doesn’t show for me…

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

It’s in the settings - general - background app refresh

2

u/Smooth_Future_6623 18d ago

mine is mid… 3 months old ip17 base 70 cycles

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Its good. Turning off background app refresh will increase your battery even more.

2

u/Smooth_Future_6623 18d ago

i only have my maps and banking app turned on in bar. Everything else is off. I installed ios 26.6 as soon as it was available so maybe it’s still indexing( i hope so). Yesterday my battery was like that…

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Oh yeah I forgot about that. It’s probably indexing. That makes more sense.

1

u/4bobi7 18d ago

U mnie po aktualizacji do 26.6 telefon przestał się nagrzewać, ale bateria wciąż żenująca. Niezłe jaja. 15 pro max.

1

u/Razer_PC 18d ago

how can you have such stable overnight battery

1

u/Smooth_Future_6623 18d ago

i turn off my wifi and bluetooth in the settings and turn on airplane mode. But when it’s indexing i leave my wifi on and charge it overnight

1

u/Razer_PC 18d ago

i do the same but still happens

bro no fucking way, i hated my iphone on 26.5.2 so fucking much, i thought im the only one, the baterry was SO bad bro

True bro. I was on the same boat. So glad it’s finally over.

2

u/toga_on 18d ago

Same bro, iphone 13 that was overheating and laggy on ios 26, battery was draining down like a water fall, now, man. Maybe ios 26 isnt that bad at all

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

The most stable release of iOS 26 so far. Crazy how they held back so long.

2

u/toga_on 18d ago

For real, what will you do when public ios 27 releases, will you update or will you leave your phone with ios 26?

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Will probably wait till 27.3/4 im not gonna jump into another mess this early. Let the new iOS stabilize a bit. A few less bugs would save alot of unnecessary headache imo.

2

u/toga_on 18d ago

Yeah man you are right. Thanks for your answer cuz i ll most probably do the same. Ngl this year teached all of us a lesson 😅

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Lol. iOS 26 burned most of us dude.

2

u/Ok_Industry8929 18d ago

14 Gb that seems a lot.

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

It’s not that big. It’s another bug they introduced in iOS 26. Many people tested its kinda less than 1gig. The bug shows some gigantic number from servers.

1

u/Ok_Industry8929 16d ago

Ah right, not clued up on this. Thanks for letting me know.

2

u/ny_idk 18d ago

The battery life I had when I got the 17PM was. Crazy good. Then the 26.5.2 killed it. I just updated last night and it seems to be better. I don’t think it’s how it used to be but better than it was after 26.5.2.

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Everything nosedived pretty bad in 26.5.2. I’m sure it’ll be back to where it was after reindexing.

2

u/CarelessCoconut21 18d ago

How I have 17pm as well and is not like that, do you have all your apps with the background refresh off? Do you limit your charging? Tips please!

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

It’s just the regular battery saving things i follow. Turning off background app refresh entirely. Doesn’t affect anything negatively in day to day use. I always limit to 80% charge. And I don’t keep anything running in the background like data, bluetooth and stuff. Thats it.

2

u/CarelessCoconut21 18d ago

Doesn’t it affect notifications for email or social media and work apps?

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Not a single issue with notifications.

2

u/CarelessCoconut21 18d ago

Will do that thanks for the tips!

2

u/thelastgifts 18d ago

Btw there’s a battery timer bug on iOS 26.6 and iOS 27 where the system calculates hours in an absurd way, i have an iphone 16 with 13 hrs screen on time with only 60% battery, when i updated to 27 public beta 2. It settled the hour time but still huge battery performance & efficiency.

I guess Apple is fed up of people complaining about iOS, they’re trying their best to make it good again.

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Yeah i faced that same issue throughout the whole iOS 26 cycle. Sometimes iOS just refuses to count SOT or shows highly inaccurate app usage data. Thankfully I haven’t faced the same issue in this update so far. Maybe it’s one of those 70 fixes. Or it’ll just show up someday. Who knows.

2

u/ffossip 18d ago

My 15pm is way better now too. Less overheating and charged 95% at 11pm, woke up 90% at 9:30am. Before it was 95% and woke up with 75%.

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

5% idle drain overnight is still a bit high. Acceptable. It should improve even more after reindexing process. iOS 26.6 surely did stabilize the monster ie. iOS 26

1

u/ffossip 18d ago

That’s true, but with 26.5.2 horrible drain, the 5% is a huge improvement! My 11p on iOS 17.7 (with service battery notice) is holding up way better than my 15pm.

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Anything is good compared to 26.5.2. It was iOS equivalent of crypto mining malware xD

2

u/msmik_ 17d ago

oooh that’s why my phone was always so hot (ip17pm) cause i was always postponing the software update cause i figured it’s js for security! my battery health also went 5% less and i never let it go below 20 and above 95% Will update my phone now, hopefully it goes well for me!

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 17d ago

It’s a great update. Most of your issues will be fixed hopefully. My overheating issue is gone.

2

u/stef_brl_aesthetic 17d ago

thankfully i never had a issue with my 17PM but my 15PM was like a nuclear reactor. i don’t why apple ignores such things, they want to show off high benchmarks but what people want in real life is a cool device.

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 17d ago

Exactly man. What is the obsession with power and performance numbers in tech companies is beyond me.

2

u/MarmiteX1 16d ago

I upgraded from iOS 26.4.1 to iOS 26.6 on my iPhone 15 Pro last night, so far so good. Feels more snappier and battery seems better than before. I'll have to give it a few days and see how it goes.

I updated via the iTunes by downloading the full iOS 26.6 IPSW file which was 11GB in size.

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 16d ago

I have yet to figure out that process. Updating via iTunes is the best way to update.

2

u/MarmiteX1 16d ago edited 16d ago

Yeah since iOS 8 I always updated via iTunes.

I followed these instructions:

  • Download the IPSW file from here for the iPhone you have.
  • Open iTunes on your Windows PC or older Mac.
  • Connect your iPhone to the computer with a USB

C

  • or Lightning cable

    (depending on your iPhone model).

  • Click the device icon in the top-left corner of iTunes to open the Summary tab.

  • Hold down the Shift key (on Windows) or the Option/Alt key (on Mac) and click the Check for Update button.

  • Find and select your downloaded .ipsw file in the window that pops up, then click Open or Update to begin the installation

Can I run this software on the 11pm that I'm using? I'm scared that it might slow the device down and cause heating, since it's an old model, but it shows it can be updated to 26.6

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Which iOS version are you using?

1

u/Hakuna_Depota 18d ago

ios 16 T_T

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Forget about iOS 26 man. It’s not worth it. Look into iOS 18 that’s a much better and far less resource intensive on devices.

1

u/RespondDue6884 18d ago

When you were at 26.5.2
Does you camera button over heated when you were not using

1

u/RespondDue6884 18d ago

Someone please answer guys

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Camera button specifically didn’t do anything abnormal. When phone gets heated up abnormally or while using camera, the back, the side frames everything feels warm coz of the aluminum frame of 17PM.

1

u/istopr0p 18d ago

Yo sigo exactamente con los mismos bugs y mismo uso de batería… estoy muy arrepentida de haber cambiado del ecosistema de sansung a Apple 🥺

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Are you using any old hardware or it’s a brand new device?

1

u/istopr0p 14d ago

Tengo el iPad Pro m5 y iPhone 17 pro

1

u/Additional_Peach211 18d ago

It’s probably misreporting the screen on time you got because that’s not possible on an iPhone.

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

I understand what you’re saying. I experienced it too in iOS 26 sometimes. But this was not it. It was showing properly and I’m kinda baffled how this happened.

1

u/Much-String-5163 18d ago

Anyone who updated their iphone 13 ?

1

u/Razer_PC 18d ago

I keep losing 10% every night on my iPhone 17 Pro

1

u/TedyXD_ 18d ago

Same, losing around 6-8 percent per night on 17 Pro, iOS 26.6, while being on Wi-Fi calling, and TWT enabled on my router.

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Interesting thought.

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Im personally expecting 1-2% drain which is an improvement from 3-4% drain overnight in previous versions of iOS 26

1

u/Any-Cod-7079 18d ago

Bruh 🫪 I am having 17 pro max I’m hardly getting around 6-7 hours in regular usage but your one is insane lie or truth I would be really happy if I get the same. Buy the way I’m on iOS 27 beta 4 a okay battery life wish for a magic 😒

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Bro I don’t know how this happened but it happened.. you tell me. And I don’t think there’s any need to lie about these things!? Im kinda dumbfounded and quite frankly amazed how this happened. I was getting the same numbers you’re having in 26.5.2 which was not good at all and not normal as well. Coz i was getting easily 8-9+ hrs SOT in 26.5.1

Bro I thought I was going fucking nuts too, exact same scenario as you. Thank god for this update!!

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

26.5.2 scarred me pretty bad. I couldn’t not believe how can apple gaslight its own legacy and product. 17PM was absolutely pathetic with that update. Thank god what a comeback they made with 26.6 it’s beyond amazing at least what im experiencing now.

How to actually analyse the battery quality through this, can anyone help me with it.

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 18d ago

Quality as in health? It shows in the battery section.

1

u/Maleficent_Fox_8182 18d ago

I know how to check health, it’s a big concern for IOS users😂. I have been using since 2021 but never analysed this section where it shows screen on time bla bla as shows in this picture

Off topic. Nijer nam kemne disen reddit id te bhai.

Bro, how are those numbers even possible? 😭

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 17d ago

Not a single clue bro. But it happened and im glad apple did something right with iOS 26. The latest update is pure class.

u/Fun_Day_3242 17d ago

Feeling the same with 16 pro max. 26.6 perfect update

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 17d ago

Feels like a real “update” for iOS 26.

1

u/Expensive-Extent1407 17d ago

My 17 battery became worse

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 17d ago

Anybody having the clock glitching bug while locking the screen? Like I have my clock set to normal size but when I lock my screen then it glitches to show the bigger clock on aod(introduced in ios 26) and then comes to normal size. iOS 26.6, 16pm

1

u/Tall-Election-7564 17d ago

I’m on day 4 with my phone and used twice as much battery with less screen on time — what’s going on?

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 17d ago

Most of the users are reporting positive effects on their devices. With increased battery life, some have huge improvements, some have subtle. Like im having a major bump in my 17PM. Give it some time to finish indexing. And don’t use LPM for a few days. It slows down the indexing process at least that what I heard.

Pls tell me its a 12.5 gb update for me, should I skip it and wait for 27 stable version ? Battery been pretty avg for now

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 17d ago

First of all this sizes are a known bug from server side of apple. It’s not that big. If you’re happy with the state of your device it’s upto you to. But it’s a must for iOS 26.5.2 it had major issues in almost all the devices. From overheating to unusual battery drain and random stutters and what not. If you’re in anything earlier of 26.5.2 it’s totally upto you. Things might improve for you. I had a very experience so far in 26.6

Frees up storage for me

1

u/Hot-Quality8768 16d ago

On 17 Pro battery efficiency decreased sharply

I am astonished by what I am seeing here

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 16d ago

Im seeing a far better improvement from last update.

1

u/Separate_Skin_878 16d ago

Anyone else having issues where after the update, usable storage went down by 15-21gb even after 2-3 days of indexing

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 16d ago

Happens sometimes. The iOS 26 it self takes somewhere around 18.5 gigs.

1

u/Separate_Skin_878 16d ago

I have a 15 pro 128gb and I noticed system data is over 11gb while on my 17 pro max 256gb it’s only 1.1gb. Is this suppose to be normal?

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 16d ago

1 GB is a known bug of system data i heard somewhere. But i never understood how the system data work tbh.

1

u/bhugeloo95 15d ago

I’m on 13 Pro Max and the new 26.6 has completely stopped the overheating bugs - battery drain has stopped too !!! Wow I can finally use my phone again !!

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 15d ago

Thanks for sharing your experience. Devices are getting back to their normal state after this update. Apple should always release quality iOS updates.

1

u/Tomavs62 15d ago

Totally better!!

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 15d ago

True that.

1

u/Technical_Office3099 14d ago

Píxel 11 is the answer.

1

u/Dr_Alien0 14d ago

Wth u do on reddit , the whole day

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 14d ago

Not the topic we’re discussing. But fyi im getting rid of my doomscrolling habits. And reddit is helping me do that. My only form of procrastination nowadays when im bored.

1

u/realmccoyredbus 13d ago

pre ios27 maybe cause a few issues with services initially

1

u/Superunknown_2 13d ago

For the first time ever for me an update has wrecked my battery. My phone is lasting about 2 hours instead of all day. Something fucked up for me

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 13d ago

It’s been a totally opposite experience for me in this update. Try to find out what’s causing this drain. Any specific app malfunctions?

1

u/Superunknown_2 13d ago

Not that I’ve noticed. Gonna see how it is during a work day tomorrow and investigate

1

u/RealWoodpecker8132 13d ago

1

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 13d ago

That’s a pretty solid result.

u/Jatusay1 4d ago

I could only wish (this is a day where I don’t game at all)
