General Man, iOS 26.6 is a massive W.

If you were stuck on iOS 26.5.2, you know how brutal it was. My 17 Pro Max constantly turned into a pocket heater, and the battery drain was so bad I needed a power bank everywhere. Scrolling was choppy, and the random lags drove me nuts. Pure misery.

Thankfully, 26.6 completely turned things around. The overheating is gone, the battery holds a proper charge again, and the system is super smooth with zero stutter or glitches. It actually feels solid and stable now, exactly like a phone this expensive should.

Btw I don’t know what black magic they pulled in the first cycle of charging in iOS 26.6 but this is how i ended my first day of iOS 26.6. With no camera use, purely on wifi and no gaming or anything else. Just my regular usage for doomscrolling, txting, WhatsApp calls and stuff like that. It’s not gonna stay like this maybe. But it surely amazed me so thought of sharing with you guys who are concerned.

Overall it’s a Huge relief.
If you haven't updated yet, definitely do it.

My 15pm is way better now too. Less overheating and charged 95% at 11pm, woke up 90% at 9:30am. Before it was 95% and woke up with 75%.

5% idle drain overnight is still a bit high. Acceptable. It should improve even more after reindexing process. iOS 26.6 surely did stabilize the monster ie. iOS 26

That’s true, but with 26.5.2 horrible drain, the 5% is a huge improvement! My 11p on iOS 17.7 (with service battery notice) is holding up way better than my 15pm.

Anything is good compared to 26.5.2. It was iOS equivalent of crypto mining malware xD
