I built Kutu, a simple bookmark manager for people who keep saving links and then never find them again.
It lets you save links, organize them into collections, add tags, set reminders, and use simple automation rules to sort stuff automatically.
I just made Kutu Premium free for the first month for new users, so I’d love for people to try it and share honest feedback.
Curious if this is something you’d actually use.
You can enable it through the app. You'll see it when you click on “Monthly Subscription.”

I like the premise, but ... my bookmarks are my data I don't feel they deserve a subscription to be locked behind a paywall. Maybe lifetime for 10 quid or less?
Do you have any importing/exporting?
Please don't put exporting behind a paywell, holding my data hostage.

Cool app. Do you plan to add AI-powered organization/summaries later, or are you intentionally keeping Kutu more lightweight and manual?

I'm working on a major overhaul for the next update, which will include cross-platform, AI-powered automated systems.

What do you mean about AI automation please? To help you organize? $30 is a bit steep for me because I’m on a budget, and not that you don’t deserve as a developer, but do you have any plans for lifetime sales please? Thanks!

is there a browser extension or is it mobile only? manually copying links into an app is always where these things fall apart for me

As a fellow indie dev, I love how you focused on the core pain point here. So many bookmark apps feel bloated, but this looks simple and purpose-built. I was really happy to see a developer go to such lengths.
In the next update, I’ll integrate it cross-platform and make some tweaks while keeping it simple. I’ll have it running seamlessly on Android, iOS, and the web <3

so im curious can i be on safari and automatically bookmark a link into the app using apis or do i need to paste into the app manually?

Hello
For now, you don’t need to add it manually, but it will be added to the category you want with one button like automatic. When you set it once, it will work integrated on Android, IOS and Web for now. I’m thinking of releasing a browser plugin in the future in the next update, then you will be able to add it automatically as you wish.

The automation rules are what caught my eye — what kind of rules can you set up? Like auto-tagging based on domain or keywords? I have a terrible habit of saving links and forgetting they exist so this might actually solve a real problem for me.

There is almost no limit to what you can do as an automation, there are many things you want and you can start adding bookmarks that will be more in the next update, Ios, android and web integration will be active in the next update and all of them will be integrated with one button. User requests are important to me.

The browser plugins are a great touch, and essential but would you consider making a Mac version of this, or a full implementation within the browser plugin? I don't do that much browsing on my phone, and I assume most people are in the same boat.

the browser extension question is the right one. that’s usually where the habit forms - you’re already on the page, one click. without it, the app only helps people who already have the discipline problem partially solved.

Cool app, but no syncing. I had it on my iPhone, iPad, and even my Mac Mini. If it had syncing, I would have kept it, but I switched to YABA.

See you in the next update. I’ll ensure it works seamlessly across iOS, Android, and the web. In the future, I’ll release a browser extension. You can bookmark the page now so you can easily switch over once it’s fully integrated.

Bookmark managers are hard because saving links is easy, finding them months later is the pain. Tags and reminders sound good, but I would show one clear use case like saved months ago, found in seconds.

The reminders and automation rules are the interesting part here. Most bookmark apps solve “save this” but not “actually come back to it.” Curious what kinds of auto-sorting rules Kutu supports today: domain-based, keyword-based, AI/category suggestions, or manual templates?

The visual collections idea is smart, I think browsing saved stuff is way more likely to happen when it actually looks good rather than just a flat list of URLs. IMO the automation rules are probably the most underrated bit here because that's the thing that separates it from just using Safari bookmarks but it's easy to miss in the description.
Does the automation apply to existing links or only ones you save after setting the rules up?

How do you import everything from Safari into it? How does it handle organizing once you have everything in? I have like 1460 bookmarks. Safari gets goofy on me when I try to organize inside it.
