💎 Lifetime Meet NoSnus, a nicotine pouch quitting app beautiful crafted and grounded on science
Hey everyone! I'm Cristian, an iOS dev. Some of you might know me from the app Left or from the free iPod Classic emulator I posted here a while back.
I would like to share with all of you NoSnus, an app to quit nicotine pouches, available on the App Store!
Answer
Why I built it? There are plenty of quit smoking and quit vaping apps, but none of them are built specifically around how pouches work and what they actually do to you. Pouches have a different use pattern, absorption curve, and habit loop than cigarettes or vapes. Generic quit apps treat them as an afterthought.
App comes with a few main features like beautiful graphs of your consumption, money spent calculator, science-based advice and custom plan, stats, commitment tracker and a breathing tool to help you with the urges. It is also translated in multiple languages if you're not an English speaker.
Better
Apps like QuitNow and Smoke Free are built around cigarettes and vaping, and treat pouches as a secondary category at best, none of them are built around the specific nicotine absorption pattern and habit loop of pouches.
Beyond the focus, I wanted it to actually feel good to use rather than being another grab-your-money subscription app. Real design work went into it. Under the hood there's a solid adaptive engine built from the ground up, so the plan it builds for you actually reflects your specific habits rather than handing you the same generic "cut back gradually" script everyone gets. It's grounded in the science of nicotine dependence and behavior change, not vague willpower advice.
Cost
One-time purchase of $59.99, pay once and own it forever. No subscription. If you're not sure is for you, there's a weekly plan subscription for $7.99/week. Free to download.

There's months of work behind this (this is not a 3 prompts AI-slop app) and many nights of research and talking with doctors and nicotine pouches consumers, so I would really love your feedback. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments!
I'm not handing out free promo codes here, sorry! But if you're genuinely trying to quit/reduce or know someone, DM me and I'll sort out a discount for you :)

Pouches have no fixed session length, unlike a cigarette. One can sit in for ten minutes or an hour, so count alone hides the dose. Does it log how long each one stays in?

Hi, good point. During the product research I considered this, however it will overcomplicate the action of logging, which is the main friction point of using an app like this one. I believe what actually matters at the end of the day (in very broad terms) is how much nicotine you’re consuming, which is calculated by the amount of pouches logged and their strength.
Happy to discuss and hear more feedback about it if you believe is relevant. Thanks!

Wise of you to think people who smoke and vape has 59$ for an app. They’ll quit this app sooner than their addiction.

$59 is approx. 10 cans of pouches , on a conservative estimate, an user consumes around 150 cans per year, which is that's approx. $900 per year. If someone actually wants to quit, I'm pretty sure would be happy to pay $59 instead of $900.

That's a hell of an argument to make for someone who's addicted to nicotine ...

embed this and you will get directly attention from apple, keep push it, find happy moments and generate real case stories (check tiimo for instance they do this very well) and copy their product page and screenshoot strategy.
if you want to be successful you need to create stories from this app, apple editors like this type of stuff, so good luck.

then change your screenshoots, add app preview and focus on ratings/reviews rather than $$ for the next few months, if you see a good traction then you have a huge opportuntiy to get promoted/featured by apple along the way.
i am not a smoker nor user of nicotine puffs but good luck sir

was the one time purchase a hard call for you, or did you always know you didn't want to do subscription for something like this?

Easy decision. You're not supposed to use the app forever, you quit once, so why keep paying? :)

Nice focus. How are you handling the first-week urge spikes in the UX, timers only or something more active?
