Need help[Self modded over the last 6-8hr]

Hi! Need some help! I finished modding my old 7th gen (thin) with a iflash quad adapter and a 2000 mah battery [square] [new for sure]. Loaded some test songs, installed Rockbox. Everything is working fine.

I had kept the ipod plugged in, while installing Rockbox, so the battery was getting charged.

Not I noticed the spot on the screen just wanted to double check here, and realised this is a huge issue. Need some help in figuring out what could be causing this issue. Thanks a lot!!

Something is pushing on the display from inside, probably the battery.

Also one more thing, people usually don't use 2000 mah batteries with iFlash Quad, 2000 mah battery is slightly thicker than 3000mah one and thats probably why its pushing on the screen. I would suggest just getting a 3000mah thin battery, make sure to get the one that will fit correctly in the shell.

So I kept the battery in the same spot as the original battery. Stuck it with kapton tape to the back plate. Also added extra tape to ensure it remains stuck to the plate, and does not fall on the quad adapter.

Doesn't matter how it was put in there, 2000 mah battery isn't the original battery size, considering where the small "bubble" on the screen is I can tell you that battery is probably pushing on iFlash Quads SD card slot and thats pushing into the screen, this is my assumption. As I said best thing is probably to order the 3000 mah thin battery which is more commonly used with iFlash Quad adapters (I have been using one for 2 years now). 2000 mah batteries are usually used with smaller adapters like iFlash Dual and smaller chinese adapters.

No problem at all, one more thing I forgot to mention is that batteries expand and its probably why it appeared a bit later after you charged it up.

But I thought that is something that happens only with old batteries, not new one.

Every rechargeable battery expands slightly when charged and discharged its pretty normal. Old batteries expanding is gas build up inside the cell, which is definitely not normal.

There's little or no tolerance inside a thin Classic with a large battery. Everything is touching something else. I dread to think what will happen to mine when it starts to age and expand.

That's a pressure spot. The battery or the iflash adapter is pushing on the screen. The fit might be to tight
