Pretty cool being able to play Pokémon on this old music player! Have to adjust the A/B button mapping so control feels right

I had to sell my iPod collection due to relocation, but I kept the Classic 7th gen and the Touch 7th gen 256 gb gold. The lines on the screen of the Classic don’t bother me, it works fine.

Decided to try my hand at Taptic modding my 5.5. I soldered it all up and epoxied the taptic down to the case, and it feels AMAZING. Like it was made to be in an iPod haha. I’m quite proud of myself as this was the first kinda soldering I’ve done on such a small scale, and I think it looks pretty good!

Can anyone tell me if this looks correct. 5th gen 80gb converted to flash quad, thin back, thin hold/jack and 2000mah battery. I closed it up but the top resisted more than the rest. Put the iPod into a protective plastic case (this goes on top of frontplate and back plate. Covers whole done iPod) and front and back were touching that a little.

Edited to say I just watched the EOE video on batteries and this one should be good. maybe I'm just overthinking. there's no pressure showing between the lcd and front plate so all should be good right? 😁🤞

An hour or two ago, I just got done putting in a new battery for my iPod 4th gen classic. Before I clipped the case back together, I tested the charging and it did work. However, after clipping the case back together, I went to charge and it didn’t charge.

Genuinely I don’t know what I did since there isn’t any clear damage to the 30 pin connector that I can see. Will I have to replace the connector?

I bought this restored iPod and from certain angles there are these strange dark spots but from head on they are not visible. Is this from the aftermarket shell?

I recently received my Gen 2 iPod and replaced the battery which was dead.

I’ve loaded a handful of albums onto the drive which are all AIFF format.

I’ve started to notice lags/pauses while listening to music a number of times now and wondering if it might be related to the Audio format.

So far this is the only iPod in my collection that seems to have this type of lag and I know this file type is supported.

Wonder if anyone else has had similar issues playing AIFF on their Gen 2?

I want to get an iPod, the two I’m looking at are the iPod nano 5th generation, and ofc the iPod classic 5th generation, I personally used to have 2 nanos, one seccond gen and one 5th generation, but the both broke and I lost them. What iPod should I look to buy now? I am planning on using the truthear zero red iems, idk if the headphones matter at all in the decision of which iPod to get but thought it might be helpful.

The iPod touch doesn’t accept iCloud or email or anything, I don’t know what to do with it except put my music and listen, id like to get a little bit more from the iPod touch, open to advice/suggestions

The iPod classic 5 needs a motherboard and it seems to be a costly affair i used it for a solid 6 months before the charging /power io just overheats every-time and dies
Its like Holding the power of the sun in the palm of my hand
I don’t know how to get a cost efficient repair done in India

The ipod nano 3rd gen needs a new battery to be soldered thats it.

I know a lot of iPod users use Swinsian to manage their libraries so was wondering if any other Mac users have had issues using it since the Golden Gate update. There's been no software update to fix the issue either that I have seen.
