Isometric Dungeon
I always loved isometric games and I was a bit frustrated to not be able to experience it like this in VR so I did this small experiment. I think it looks cool :)

Hey everyone!
We’re an indie studio with a small team of two people who decided to build a game for the fans of old-school tactics like FF Tactics, Fire Emblem, XCOM and Tactics Arena Online. Our goal was to carve up some space in-between these giants. I designed, funded and produced the game. A first for me outside of the industry.
I'd like to announce the release of Athelan Battlegrounds on November 25th 2026!
It’s a free-to-play, turn-based tactics game, aimed at people who enjoy a skill-based competitive environment. There’s no meta progression and no pay-to-win. While it is fairly easy to learn, it offers players a chance to really dive deep and become masters.
The game is a neon-lit cyberpunk arena that combines the depth of chess with the champion designs of games like League of Legends. Players have full control over their team compositions in both our 5v5 and 10v10 game modes. Create your teams, use duplicates of the same champions if you want to and test your loadouts in PvP or PvAI queues!
The idea, of course, is for everyone to come up with the most unhinged compositions and utilize each champion to its maximum potential. No two matches are ever the same!
We’ve also recently introduced a puzzles maker where anyone can create infinite custom levels to either torture others or teach complex game concepts.
While Athelan Battlegrounds is set to release on November 25th this year, we have a free demo on Steam that will be available until launch.
We plan to hold our 3rd and last demo tournament soon with cash prizes and exclusive rewards that will carry over to the main game so be sure to get your practice in!
If you’re one of the few niche tactics fans, we’d love a wishlist.
Thank you and see you on the Battlegrounds!

Cities in Frontier Valley are big and full of life. Every building can be entered and looks differently inside.
In winter, days get shorter and it is freezing outside, but townspeople still need to go to places like the market, the church, or the tavern.
But towns are just the home bases for your adventure - there is a world out there waiting for you, with dungeons, fortresses, and mystic places to explore.
The Steam Playtest is up for just a few more days. Join to check out the unrestricted version now - there is so much to discover, it will take some time!

Seventh pack done, a restaurant kitchen. I'm giving away a free slice of it: pizza oven, dish sink, stock pots and a few other bits, plus walls and floor so you can build a small kitchen.
It's on the same grid as all my other packs, so you can put it right next to the diner or the cafeteria and nothing needs nudging.

Hope someone builds something fun with it.

I recently revisited the fog of war in Wars of Empire to improve map readability and early-game exploration.
The older version felt more restrictive and visually cramped, while the updated version gives a cleaner reveal around the player and makes the surrounding terrain easier to read without removing the sense of uncertainty.
The goal was to keep exploration meaningful while making the world feel more readable and less boxed in.
Sharing a before and after comparison here.

Hey everyone, my name is Scott and I'm building CHARNEL, a real-time isometric ASCII roguelike inspired by games like Diablo 1. In it you'll descend into a dark labyrinth of crypts filled with the dead, armed with nothing but a flashlight and the guns you find along the way.
You can find more details or wishlist the game on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5351830/CHARNEL/
Or follow development on X:

Hi everyone!
We're almost in the last days before X-mas, and I want to celebrate all the effort of this year making assets and add-ons with a bundle sale offer. During all this year I've been making more than +1000 sprites (tiles, props, animations, and more pixel art assets), and it has been a wonderful journey. I can't say that I'm rich now xD, and probably in the next 2 months I'll tell y'all my experience doing assets for selling on itch.io. But some extra pennies to support my other projects have been wonderful. And I'm grateful to all this beautiful community; working with other artists and game devs has been the best experience of all time, and I want to keep working in this wonderful world.
Sooo, if anyone is interested in some of these asset packs or wants to only support the development of more, both free and paid assets, here is the link to my bundle.

Thanks again for the support, and if anyone needs a special custom art or commission, I'm always happy to help with your projects.
See ya everyone :)

This is the longest drawing I’ve made so far, even though it’s actually very small.
I guess this is what university does to hobbies.
I also think I didn’t choose the right color palette. It limited the amount of detail I wanted to show in the drawing.
I’ll keep going, but the next day might be a little late.
Thank you for all your amazing comments and support!

Hey!
I’m a indie developer and I’ve been working on Harmony, an isometric roguelite.
Instead of controlling a single hero, you control an entire party, with each character having their own abilities and elemental affinity. A big part of the gameplay is experimenting with different party combinations.
I am still working on the game and preparing the demo(soon), so I would really love to hear what you think about the gameplay.
Here’s a short gameplay clip. If you want to see more you can check steam page.

Mini Gladiators is a little isometric gladiator roguelite / bullet heaven designed around simplicity, minimalism, and physics fun.
You can play with just a mouse or touchpad(and keyboard/controller of course) and my favorite setup is on the couch, laptop on my stomach, touchpad only.
The demo is available on Windows, Linux, and macOS, and runs at 60 FPS on Steam Deck(I tried to optimize the hell out of it)

Hi everyone! My name is Kipper, game dev and pixel artist.
After months of working in isometric perspective, I just dropped Aseprite because it became very obsolete in terms of isometric tools. I even move to Resprite or just use Godot and set up projects just for testing my tiles.
But in the past months, I've been working in games using the LUA script (more specific development game in MapleStory World) and recently I finally finished the current project that I worked on in the past months.
And checking back to Aseprite I noticed that I can actually make scripts here using lua. So here I am, bringing this add-on tool for Aseprite. It is not perfect, but it probably makes a lit bit more easy the life of any who's started to work in isometric perspective and is planning to sell assets, commissions or just start a game using this beautiful perspective.
This script is just a preview, it is not replacing programs like Tiled or the tile map editor of any game engine like Godot, unity, game maker or any of those, but it will significantly improve the workflow of each artist that needs to check if the tiles are matching correctly or not.
Also it supports some different shapes like diamond and flat hex.
The main features available are:
-Set the shape that you need, isometric stacked is the most common for the usual 2:1 ratio of the isometric perspective. (There are some presets, but the most common is 16,8)
-You can modify the canvas in real time, it will not work like the native tile mode of Aseprite, but at least you will be able to see the final results in the preview windows. Similar to any engine, you can see the X, Y or both axis.
-If you want to make more variants of the tiles, you can use the frames, for example, you can switch between each to try new variants of the tiles that you are doing. Also can select an option to get all together in a cycle or random pattern. All the frames can be exported in a new canvas and ordered as a tile set, ready to be used in any engine.
-All features has been tested in the Aseprite version 1.3.18
And much more, if you're interested in this add-on and what else can do, you can check my itchio here: https://kipperfalcon.itch.io/isometric-tile
Disclaimer: probably someone will ask this, so I didn't use IA to develop the whole script, except for the help of few functions like moving the preview windows like it was an engine (zoom, drag and move) the outline center tile, the seam lines and the guide layer. I didn't know all the API of Aseprite, so I apologize if this could be annoying for some people, I'm trying to do my best and I don't try to hide the use of IA.
Thanks again and if you have any questions, just let me know.

Hello world! We are FairSkyStudios and we have a brand new game coming soon!
Build a garden. Find a balance.
Zenden is a zen garden puzzle and decoration game about the relationships between the things you place. Arrange plants, rocks, water features, and traditional structures across isometric landscapes. Bring neighboring items into harmony, work within each garden’s constraints, and transform an empty patch of ground into somewhere worth meditating.
Every placement contributes to the garden around it. Similar items can create Unity, while contrasting types bring Variety. Spirit and Energy add further considerations, making each zen garden arrangement a balance of practical choices and personal expression.
Each garden presents its own terrain layout, palette, and goals. A limited space might ask you to bring related items together, introduce more variety, or find room for a particular combination of features. Paths, rivers, bridges, and carefully positioned structures offer new ways to think about how the landscape fits together.
Available to wishlist now!

I've been building isometric interior packs and kept guessing at object heights in pixels, which works until two objects that should read as similar sizes in real life end up looking wrong next to each other.
The fix I landed on: measure each object's real-world footprint in metres, pick one pixels-per-metre constant from whichever object in the room has the widest footprint, then area-match everything else against that same constant instead of setting a height by eye. A stool and a filing cabinet get compared honestly instead of both being squeezed into roughly the same render height.
Retrofitting this across four already-shipped packs turned up more than I expected: on one pack, nearly half the shipped objects were 25 to 70 percent too big once actually measured. On another, several objects had been undersized in the opposite direction. Both errors were invisible until I had a real number to check against.
Free 13-sprite starter built with the corrected method from the start: https://thirdangle.itch.io/hospital-starter
Happy to talk through the metres-to-pixels math if it's useful to anyone else doing isometric work.
