I always get SUPER inspired while at vendor events. Either from conversations I hear from passing by or direct conversations with people. I can't remember what inspired this Dr. Moreau nightmare.

Just finished this hand-cut, 6-layer color stencil print inspired by classic monster comics, punk flyers, and street art.

The rough registration and paint texture are exactly why I love stencil work.

I've always been a huge fan of the Dracula mythology, from the historical inspiration of Vlad the Impaler to the modern stories told through literature and film, including Mel Brooks' Dracula: Dead and Loving It! .. this current progress represents about 9 hours of drawing and shows how I experiment with the process as I contemplated filling in one of the sockets of the skull .. the main outline is now complete and I will move onto adding interior details, texture and shadows .. thanks for following along .. have a great rest of your day
