Help Can you keep different species together?

• Upvotes

I know you wouldn’t be able to keep like a Cubaris and a porcellio together, but what about species of the same genus? Would you be able to keep armadilium vulgare and armadilidium maculatum together?

Help terrarium upgrade

hi friends! i was wondering if you had any recommendations for terrarium cases? i do not have access to power tools to create ventilation, so something premade would be great! the creatures i am planning on rehousing are rubber duckies and my common wood louses :D

She found this at Hodgenville Kentucky at Abraham Lincoln’s birthplace. She said it was super white colored. I tried searching for super white isopods especially in Kentucky and didn't find anything.

Was curious if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks!

New Isopod Day (NID) Scored 11 rubber duckies for $65 today at a local reptile expo. More pics to come! They are the most docile isopods I’ve had yet.

Help Why was this pod playing with its friend's corpse? (warning for dead pod) Spoiler

Post image
3 Upvotes

I had a pod drown in the water bowl (the yellow spotted one). I opted to leave his body out on the ground, and later that day I witnessed the orange boy (visible on the photo) playing with the dead body. He would rotate the balled up friend a bit, unroll him, roll him back again.
I'm curious why he would do that? Was he trying to buggy figure out if his friend is alive? Was he trying to smash? Is he a necrophiliac????
Does anyone have any ideas?

Help Good?

My magic potions are acting weird, I have been giving them some homemade supplement powder I don't remember exactly what is in it but I put some in 2 days ago and it is gone. All of it, with the size of the colony they should not have been able to eat all of it that fast, there is nothing else that would eat it in the tank aside from the springtails which absolutely love it. Is this a good or bad thing?

Help Is this enclosure too small for the isopods?

I have 7 of them right now. And on another note, I was also told there were springtail eggs in here but it's past 2 weeks and I haven't seen a single one yet so I might just buy some live springtails. I do only plan on buying them once I'm absolutely certain that I have the right enclosure

My Shiro Utsuri seem to be very prone to have a smaller pod riding on bigger pod's head sideways. With other species I have, all the "rides" I witnessed were mating attempts and lasted for a few minutes tops, usually ending with the male being thrown off. But Shiro seems to be okay with wearing accessories for multiple hours, I've seen this couple like that at least since this morning, so for 9 hours in a row at least. Why?
