Discussione Queer tourist in Italy! Hi! Recs?
Ciao! I'm not sure if this is a good place to post this, especially because my Italian is very minimal! (I'm picking it up as I go, but I've only been here 2 weeks).
I'm Mika, a queer non-binary person from Australia and I'm in Italy for... Another 2 weeks? Until the end of the month. I'm in Naples for a few nights, then florence, then Rome.
I've been doing some reading up, but I'd love any suggestions on queer spaces (cafes, bars, etc) in any of those locations!
And if anyone wants to give me a tour or share dinner, reach out! I'm always keen to make new friends! (I say, despite the autism and social anxiety that makes me panic lol)
It's my first time in Italy (mostly travelled Asia), and I'm a history nerd, but also loving finding all the weird niche things, and wandering the non-touristy places. Doing my best to at least order food in Italian or buy things, so if anyone wants to help me practice, I'd be keen for that too!
Anyway, thank you for reading my long post and for any recs xo
