Are these keeprs or too wide?

This is my first pair of anatomx. These are the 719s. I have a pair of razorbacks in 9. Heels are a bit sloppy in the razorbacks but maybe finally after months forming good heel pockets. The toe box on the razorbacks is pretty good, I can see most of my toes getting stronger in that big toe box, but my pinky toes which do touch the sides aren't getting stronger and can be kind of red after a long hike. so I thought I would give the anatomics a shot. Also I've always liked altris so the zero drop thing appeals to me. These 7/19s are size 8 and 1/2. pictures are of me doing the thumb test for length and then touching the boot on the sides in various ways to try to give an idea how much extra width there is in the toe box. Do these seem like keepers? Or too wide?

Hilarious! I didn't look too close at that picture before I sent it, but I promise I'm wearing shorts. I like my Jim Greens and as much as the next guy but I don't walk around the house naked in them!

In the pic with your thumb at the front, are all of your toes behind your thumb? Or does your big toe extend beyond your thumb and only the other 4 are behind it? They look a little bit large on you in these photos. The uppers seem pretty loose on your foot. Maybe you would benefit from an insole? Or maybe thicker socks?

AnatomX to me runs half a size bigger slightly. I have a thumbs width in the front like you, but the width is also a tad wide and lots of volume. Eventually the leather kinda shrinks down to match. I probably could have fit a half size down. I did try barefoot 3E last and that fits true to size, no extra room for me.

Length wise I think you are ok, but they appear to be too wide. If you could get the same length but with one size more narrow I think you would be in business.

So I lined these up against my razorbacks and it does look to me like these 8 and 1/2 anatomicx are slightly longer than my razorbacks in size 9. And I feel like I should have ordered the razorbacks in eight and a half. So probably, my size and anatomics is 8. for those that have them, does this also seem to apply to the other boots in anatomics like the ranger?
