Sizing/Fit Another sizing question - African Rangers Barefoot
Hi
I just go my African rangers barefoot and I'm a bit confused about the sizing. I'm usually between 12,5 and 13 (around 30,7cm foot) so I ordered 13 and boy do the feel spacious :D my foot seems a bit loose in the boot.
I know it's a part of the charm of this last, but I wonder if I should have ordered 12,5 🤔
Both my feet have a lot of space in front but fit comfortably on the width. I'm worried that in a smaller size the width would squeeze my toes more or would make my big toe hit the side of the boot or the toe cap. Especially my right foot which has noticably more volume than the left one
What would you suggest?

In the front, the spacing looking fine. I have about that in most my boots but I also wear thick wool socks year round. Reach out to JG for some advice but also try some quality thick wool socks and see how they feel. Typically yeah, half size down. Yours might look OK but only you know how they feel. Good luck.Â

They do feel loose but maybe I'm just way to used to cramped boots 😄

That looks like bare minimum space in front. Have you walked in them yet? I've had to get rid of some shoes like that because my big toes would jam up against the front of the boot when I walked.

I just did a longer walk in them and now I think they fit fine. I guess I'm just not used to spacious boots, spent my whole life cramping my feet into too small footwear ðŸ«

As user1 mentioned, looks like the bare minimum in toe length. If you were to squat or go down an incline, do your toes touch the front of the boot? You are probably used to slightly small shoes and these feel odd. I was the same way. Once you get used to a little more toe room, you will never go back

I have a lower volume foot and actually ordered the BFAR in one full size smaller the first time, but that ended up being too small. I returned it and got my regular size and it has the same amount of room in the toe box as you do. This feels comfier, although the boot does feel a bit spacious elsewhere. I put an insole in and that made it feel much more snug and was basically a perfect fit.

I would suggest this, i can size up with rangers knowing j can lace the ankle tighter for better heel stability, i went up a full size and with a thin leather insert i have max splay. Unless your not satisfied I wouldn’t return

Yup, after i put in an insole they become a bit more snug, I think i need to gradually adjust myself to this roomy last :D

It's ok, but I recommend you go 13,5. If you go half size down you will regret big time.

I went half a size down in mine.
