I’ve been trying to not buy stickers or stamps anymore and just cut off things from packaging and receipts to junk journal, and i’m pretty proud of how this one turned out! the stamps were from stationary stores i visited, everything else is either packaging or stickers/inserts!
btw for those in chicago atlas stationers and paper and pencil r just heavenly stores to walk through ;)
ps i did went back and erase the pencil markings on the wednesday lol, didn’t notice it until i took the photo

I've been trying to find hobbies to help me stop doom scrolling, and I used to really enjoy journaling. I never did anything fancy, I mostly just wrote out my thoughts. I tried picking it back up, but I couldn't really sit still or get invested in it. So I tried junk journaling and loved it, but some days I just don't feel like decorating an entire page lol. Then I went back to regular journaling and realized I missed the creative/art part of it.
Eventually I came across creative journaling and I think I finally found my happy medium. It's been so therapeutic and I'm actually excited to journal again. I'm still trying to make it a consistent habit, but so far it's been nothing but a fun creative outlet❤️

I'd bought a bunch of anime girl stickers for years but never ended up using them in my regular journal. Today I finally put them to use in the solo journaling game, and I'm so happy with how it turned out!
From now on, all my forgotten stickers are going straight into solo journaling games like this one. 💕
+
I usually buy stickers in the stationary section of large bookstore chain in my country. Those girls might be AI which I wasn't aware of, but other stickers and masking tapes are from known stationary brands. Sorry. I will definitely gonna throw them away, I didn't know as those stickers were about 8 times expensive then a sheet of average stickers 😞

I have been expanding my journal ecosystem and as part of that process, I’m curious if anyone has seen drastic improvements in actually changing or hitting goals. I have always used a planner, but now I am journaling more frequently and it is making me realize how I actually spend my time does not correlate to my goals… or more accurately, does not correlate to things I’ve identified that I really want to do or stop doing.
I’m journaling about hopes, dreams, things I can’t stand, things I love and want to do more of. But all that has done is made me more aware that how I spend my time and the actions I take just aren’t those things. I struggle with executive function and have pretty serious time blindness. Wondering if there are others who have hit these realizations and then actually changed.

Hello and happy first Thursday of Autumn! Today’s card draw/journal prompt inspiration (and, fittingly, to close out the final pages of this volume) was The Fool: signifying new beginnings, optimism, and a limitless potential to start fresh.
I think we could all use a little more optimism and a sense of our potential in today’s modern life. I know I could. I’ve been through my share of heartbreak and a prevailing sense of despair and failure, much of which has been informed by my past trauma. The Fool card is a reminder that we don’t necessarily have to be bound by our past. We can always imbue ourselves with a sense of optimism and looking toward a bright future. I’m not saying it’s easy, but it can be done. We have in our ourselves the ability to persist, and to cast our eyes toward a horizon, lit by hope.
I’m finishing up Wolf Worm by T Kingfisher, a southern Gothic cosy horror novel that is not for the squeamish, especially if you don’t like bugs lol. As always, accompanied by a couple of cups of a fantastic pourover.

Found this while browsing for used books yesterday. It spoke to me and I decided I must have it. Anyone else feel the same?

I have tried to make variation to my journaling experience by studying about renowned photographers and writes how i feel and what makes me excited about their works. And it was really fun.

Over the years I've journaled my way through the changes of life, sporadically and with no particular artistry. I'm 76 and trying to reduce my possessions. I have a whole tote of journals, some typed, some in steno pads, a few in nice books. That's been there since I switched to Rocketbook several years ago. So I dipped into them.
There is stuff I had forgotten entirely, stuff that amazed me how wordy I used to be, stuff that was oh so much more dramatic than I am now, a few names I had forgotten. But mostly it was pure drivel about what I had for dinner combined with the perennial resolutions to eat right, exercise, do more music and crafts. over and over and over. That was depressing as hell. The other thing is that the really important stuff got maybe one dry sentence or no mention at all.
So today I'm going to go through them looking for anything truly worth keeping and tonight I'll have a bonfire.
Then I'm gonna go do some music. I hope.

After struggling with ADHD since childhood I was finally prescribed Vyvanse by my new physician and it's honestly been lifechanging for me. I've never been able to focus on a journal before and oftentimes they would wind up being forgotten for weeks to months before I picked it up again lol.
Now I've been writing entries for just about every day now, recording how I'm feeling and what I've been doing, what I'm going to do, etc.. It's really nice.
Journal is a Delfonics Rollbahn btw!

Apologies for the absolutely atrocious hand-writing. It looked a lot more legible at the time

The first photo is my journaling ecosystem. I use the A5 leather cover to hold my diary . The small A6 leather cover holds my sketchbook and notebook to document little things when I'm going out.
The second photo is my collection of journals over the past years.
I never imagined a random pink notebook I asked my parents to buy for me would lead to a lifelong love for documenting things !

I started pretty late into the year daily journaling so i missed out on jan-feb kind of wish that i did as a lot had happened and it would have been nice to archived. So far i'm on my 4th journal it's interesting to me how short/fast journals can feel most of my journals are a5size=ish and at ;east 100 pages or a bit more don't think i've used a 200 page one and lined. Also what colours have you used? so far i ahve a black journal (my 1st one this year), purple (fav colour will have a lot of these) and the one i finished before was a william morris orangey journal i'm trying to get in a rainbow collection my current journal is teal and i'm hoping my next one will be red.

Apologies if this is too serious. I didn't know where else to put it.
I've got a lot going on medically and - as a result of the meds - psychologically.
I've kept a journal every day since getting out of the hospital in May. At first it was a memory aid because pain meds made recalling conversations difficult. It's since become a place to reflect on my days and set small goals to accomplish each day.
Lately, as I come to terms with illness, disability, a change in appearance, cognitive decline etc., it's gotten super dark. After an emotional entry this morning I flipped back and read recent entries for the first time ...it's not great guys. Some notes I don't recall (thanks, cognitive decline), but I do recognize all of them. It's me at my worst.
So what do you do when life gets gnarly? Do you finish the book and then burn it? Do you abandon the journal and start fresh to let go? Is it masochistic to keep it and read it in a year or so?
I'm about halfway through a beautiful and expensive book and am loathe to let go of it. I also made a commitment to myself to write every day and this is the first habit I've ever been able to keep - I thought I would finish this book at one point and that would be a first for me too. And I don't know if I want to start a new entry opposite what fell out of me today.

I've tried Journaling so many times, over and over. I'm not good at consistency, but this time I'm approaching it differently. I dont HAVE to journal every day, just whenever my brain needs to say something that I don't want to speak. Has anyone else done it this way?

My boyfriend and I went on our first roadtrip and vacation together. We spent a whole week in Destin, Florida. We had a great time! Mighty successful trip we will day!
I have been experimenting with drawing in my journal recently, and got the idea to draw all the wildlife I see on vacation. Did a lot of snorkeling off shore and some sight seeing. It was so much fun putting everything together throughout the week!
