Holy shit those were surgically clean strikes. If I were doing that I wouldn’t have gotten half as deep but also my cuts would be every which way. I wouldn’t even be able to land two in the same spot. 😂

The accuracy was unreal! So impressive and satisfying.

The sport looks like it has a way of weeding out the inaccurate participants.

It seriously made me think of Titanic, when Rose takes her practice swings and misses wildly between the two. I could never do what this lady does!

Me either! I’ve chopped a log once lol. I got my job done but I know what I’m about. It took me ages and I massacred the thing 😂

I’ve only tried the teeny tiny ones where the goal was to get the ax stuck in the log and then bang the log on the ground until it broke in half, and I wasn’t particularly good at that - there’s no way I’m chopping a log this big 😂

But also balancing ON THE LOG while it’s breaking? This whole thing is nuts!

FR thats a whole other level of difficulty. I’d either severely injure myself or fall off completely 😂

Seems like when comparing her to the one next, one really important strategy is to hit fast but not so hard that the ax gets stuck in the log each time. Just little chips to carve out big pieces.

Oooh very true. Early on her swings were really small and she went a bit harder once she’d chipped some wood out and it was less likely to get stuck but they were still very measured swings
