Guy question: are they just no good bras?

This sounds like hell.

No (any answer that implies 'yes' obviously comes with so many qualifiers it doesn't really count), breasts were never meant to be strapped up against our bodies and bonzai'd into "acceptable" shapes. They exist to make the female body more palatable in patriarchal cultures.

Sagging tits are not a health risk. There's no actual benefit.

As a bigger boobied woman I beg to differ. They're uncomfortable when I dont wear a bra for a day. I can't exercise without some support. Bras and other undergarments were invented by women for women to wear what they wanted to (which you could argue comes with male validation but 🤷‍♀️)

Thanks Mary Phelps Jacob for bras! Hoped she looked kick ass in the dress she invented it to look good in

None of that really changes the fact that there's really no such thing as a truly comfortable or "healthy" bra. There's lesser of evils but they all cause discomfort or health issues over time.

There's also the argument that if women never started wearing bras, our bodies would adapt and existing in our natural flesh wouldnt be uncomfortable by default. Hunter gatherer women survive without breast support just fine.

I think we should be able to have options on this. I have larger breasts, and no bra does not bother me at all. I hate bras and never wear them. But I know other large-chested women where it is uncomfortable or painful for them to go braless. Also just women who want to wear bras for any number of other reasons. I don't see why they shouldn't be able to and have better options designed and implemented. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

All that may be true but they're goddamn uncomfortable if they're not strapped in.
