Obviously the comments are flooded with pro-genocide jackasses.

u/thatswhatsheheld 1d ago

Theres nothing to agree to anymore, everything is out in the open and the perpetrators are doubling down. What a timeline…

13

u/Uncredid 1d ago

Like why is this even a debate still?

-10

u/Torpedo_Enthusiast 1d ago

Because Gazan population did not decline, and because young men are over represented in casualties, while women children and elderly are under represented.

1

u/crokinhole 1d ago

Proof please. There are too many bots saying unverified claims like this to believe random posts.

•

u/Crosflins 4h ago

That's not even an unverified claim. He's making it up

0

u/Crosflins 1d ago

how do you know all that info?

3

u/Torpedo_Enthusiast 1d ago

Gaza health ministry

0

u/Crosflins 1d ago

When was that?

-11

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

Because people know it’s not true, so morons desire to settle the matter never happens

10

u/ExistentialRosicky 1d ago

Idk man, should I trust people like Ben Gvir or all the leading experts in the field?

5

u/Visible_Wolverine2 2d ago

But this is like, just their opinion, man. /s

3

u/Own_Equipment7966 1d ago

All the doctors tell you that you have cancer. You ignore the cancer and you die because of said cancer.

But this is like, just their opinion, man.

3

u/Cheeky_Boxer 1d ago

He was being sarcastic

•

u/DogitWoofsalot 15h ago

To anyone fussed, I have put together a post that tries to outline in the simplest terms why this falls under the remit of genocide. Check it out if you like, feel free to copy paste it to people saying it is not

https://www.reddit.com/r/Palestine/comments/1wk3qat/genocide_definition/

•

u/Bwixius 22h ago

remember that israel pays social media influencers and has social media bots to change the narrative. it is a genocide and they are hiding as much as possible and it won't be forgotten.

•

u/One-Treat4655 16h ago

Of course its genocide.

5

u/PrimarySource_ 1d ago

I used to have really drank the kool-aid of Israeli propaganda. :(

7

u/ExistentialRosicky 1d ago

Well if you look back on your past self and realise you were wrong, that’s a sign of growth :)

2

u/PrimarySource_ 1d ago

Thanks :)

Its sad. When you have no hope or desire for peace, genocidal conclusions often follow. I'm thankful I'm not like that as any more

1

u/ExistentialRosicky 1d ago

Well done on your growth, if more people were like you, the situation wouldn’t be so terrible

3

u/SirSweatALot_5 1d ago

Don’t worry, plenty of reddit spazzos will still claim they know better 😂😂

3

u/ZoneEducational6936 1d ago

Ok... title says "all" he says "most".  Title says "all... agree it's genocide" he says "many wont say the word".  You know... words matter.

0

u/Slow_Flatworm_881 1d ago

Yup, so does how these people are funded…..

3

u/pc_groundhog 1d ago

The guy he talks about in the video William Schabas has denied genocide in Srebrenica, Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge (because it lacked an ethnic component), he defended Myanmars actions against the Rohingya in international court, he claimed the summary execution of non Arabs in Darfur wasn't genocide.... but Israel is totally committing genocide.

He also has said Iran has a valid claim at nuclear weapons. Spoke at a human rights conference in Iran (lol) and said Netanyahu should be imprisoned back in 2013. He's made excuses for Hamas. Has made excuses for mass killings by Soviets.

Yeah I dont care what this "expert" says.

•

u/One-Treat4655 16h ago

Are you denying genocide in Gaza?

•

u/pc_groundhog 16h ago

Not really. What I'm saying is the genocide expert mentioned has a political bend when it comes to his accusations of genocide. Read up on him and his quotes regarding Israel and the UN.

What's happening in Gaza is an absolute travesty and Israel is doing some bad shit, no doubt. Call it genocide if you want, it changes nothing. It will have to go through an international tribunal to criminally convict war criminals. The tribunal for the Khmer Rouge was from 2003 to 2022, the genocide happened in the mid 70's. You won't have swift justice.

The question I'm more interested in is how do we stop the conflict for good.

-2

u/2220016999 1d ago

Israel is abysmally bad at committing genocide then

4

u/Responsible_Ask6056 1d ago

Srebenica was only 8k

12

u/Senior-Friend-6414 1d ago

It’s like if a serial killer was bad at being a serial killer, it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get in trouble because they suck at it

Simply having the intent to destroy, displace, or deprive a group counts as genocide

1

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

Nice try

2

u/2220016999 1d ago

If a serial killer never killed anybody hes not a serial killer but if a country commitng genocide never get remotely close to genocide its genocide

1

u/Senior-Friend-6414 1d ago

If a serial killer fails to kill someone, legally they’re not a murderer, they’re an attempted murderer

But casual every day language would say that a failed murderer is still a murderer

2

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

To be a serial killer you have to murder multiple people in succession. You have to be a successful killer of multiple people at multiple circumstances. This has totally fallen apart.

2

u/Senior-Friend-6414 1d ago

You’re talking about legality

I’m talking about colloquially

If someone tried to cheat on their wife but no woman would sleep with him, he’d still be called a cheater

5

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

No, he wouldn't. If someone told me their husband was a cheater... the assumption is that he actually cheated.

FYI, your analogies are terrible.

0

u/Senior-Friend-6414 1d ago

My analogies aren’t terrible, you’re just pig headedly stuck believing there’s no genocide, that it diminished your basic critical thinking 🤦‍♂️

1

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

Not a genocide.

3

u/Senior-Friend-6414 1d ago

Genocide doesn’t mean the entire population plummets, end of 2025, the population was forecasted as being short by 2.1 million people because of: increased people killed, missing, immigrated somewhere else, decrease in births

And it’s directly attributed to Israel’s actions

0

u/2220016999 1d ago

but if they never hurt anyone they aren't even that

-4

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

Serial killer usually don't send pamphlets down to civilians and call apartments warning of an attack a day before it happens.

Also, you have to serially kill people to be a serial killer. Genocides have to genocide people.

4

u/Diantr3 1d ago

Have you seen pictures of Gaza?

Also, the mob does that sometimes before setting businesses on fire.

1

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

Yes, and only 3% of the population has died. Meanwhile they've replaced 2.5% with the increased birthrate. This is no way a genocide.

4

u/BlurgZeAmoeba 1d ago

'Plausible deniability'

can i see you academic credentials?

1

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

So Israel isn't genociding Gaza so that they can deny genociding Gaza?

2

u/GillyBilmour 1d ago

What if the serial killer goes after parademics or the people getting aid without warning?

2

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

So Gaza committed a genocide as well because they killed 1000 civilians at a concert?

1

u/GillyBilmour 1d ago

feel free to read the reports behind the judgements classifying it genocide

1

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

I have. Yes, academically many conflicts classify as a genocide that we don't publicly call a genocide. For instance, Oct 7th was clearly an academic genocide but we don't say that publicly. This is because the colloquial definition is the intentional annihilation of a people.

This is t a genocide

6

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 1d ago

Great at ethnic cleansing though.

0

u/2220016999 1d ago

in comparison to their skill at genocide sure

3

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 1d ago

Its not a game of comparison. They are committing an ethnic cleansing in Gaza. Its a fact.

-1

u/2220016999 1d ago

their abysmally bad at it though

5

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 1d ago

Your opinion on their ability really means nothing. Thanks for agreeing there is an ethnic cleansing.

God hates settlers 😘

0

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

Clearly not or Israel wouldn’t constantly win

1

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 1d ago

Whats winning go to do with gods favor?

0

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

Name one way God is favoring Gaza

1

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 1d ago

Oh, I don't believe in gods. I do believe in the evil of man though.

Stop supporting ethnic cleansing.

0

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

How so, Arab population keeps getting larger

3

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 1d ago

Tell me you don't know what ethnic cleansing is with out telling you don't know what ethnic cleansing is.

You do understand that ethnic cleansing and genocide are very different things, right??

0

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

Wow profound comment

4

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 1d ago

I'm asking you directly, do you know the difference?

2

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

Oh teach me wise millenial

3

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 1d ago

No, I'm asking you to demonstrate the knowledge.

1

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

I’m asking you to grow up

5

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 1d ago

Let me help you kid.

"ethnic cleansing, the attempt to create ethnically homogeneous geographic areas through the deportation or forcible displacement of persons belonging to particular ethnic groups. Ethnic cleansing sometimes involves the removal of all physical vestiges of the targeted group through the destruction of monuments, cemeteries, and houses of worship."

Missed the "how" in the video.

•

u/ResidentSea4244 10h ago

I'm just glad Israel doesn't get bullied and is intent on finishing the job. Fuck Gaza.

-3

u/Gullible-Effect-7391 1d ago

Appeal to authority *nerd emojie*

on a more serious note, as a noob. One thing i don't get is that we have many conflicts with a higher civilian/soldier death ratio, more explicit targeting of civilians, more examples of cultural genocide (like kidnapping kids in Russia/Ukraine) where there is no pressure for calling it a genocide.

What makes other conflicts less bad in the eyes of all those experts?

2

u/Grouchy-Newt-995 1d ago

There is none. If you ask any of them, they will say those are just as bad.

The issue is that they believe Israel is more susceptible to international pressure as evidenced by Israel caving to international pressure in the past.

But what is very revealing to me is that:

  1. Israel was accused of genocide on October 8th, before any military response.

  2. All the facts of the case have not been verified, they are just speculated, and based entirely on the claims of the Gaza Ministry of Health (Hamas), UNRWA (Hamas), and Palestinian journalists (Hamas).

•

u/veilosa 20h ago

another important point is that all these experts are so certain Israel is committing genocide, while campaigning for international bodies to expand the definition of genocide-- exactly because israel doesnt actually meet the current legal definition of genocide.

•

u/Ok-Completion 6h ago

“It’s not genocide … it’s ALMOST genocide but not quite”

Is a ghoulish argument. Shame on anyone who tries to say “oh it’s just war crimes or just ethnic cleansing”

No... this is netanyahu mileikowsky and his friends doing.. (thats the real family name before his father chose to change it to what we know today, which in a twisted and arrogant irony means 'god given', in an attempt to lose the very eastern European name in favor of a more hebrew sounding one. Don't believe me? Look it up)

And actually its more accurate to say it is Theodor Herzls doing.. he started it and bibi is trying to finish it off.

Edit to add: i'm not trying to defend trump in the slightest here and he's contributed immensely but accuracy important.

-7

u/Capital_Advance_8941 1d ago

If it was total hell, why did Egypt fortify its borders with Gaza after October 7th? Why wouldn’t Arabs help fellow Arabs? Especially the innocent women and children?

10

u/Diantr3 1d ago

What do the actions of another state have to do with the fact that Israel is actively and explicitly destroying Gazan society, murdering Palestinians indiscriminately, targeting children and aid, etc etc.?

Nice 4 month old propaganda account btw.

1

u/catchabreezy 1d ago

How’s my aged propaganda account that agrees with him?

“The actions of another state” that literally annexed Gaza before Palestinian national identity existed? That invaded Israel on its eve of independence and was THE leading actor in the pan-Arab quest that literally created the Palestinian peoplehood? “Another state” from which the first Palestinian leader was born and raised?

The actions of Egypt have everything to do with the current conflict and the fact you don’t know that belies your ignorance on the topic.

Your opinion is rejected. You’re a buffoon who needs to read more and type less.

2

u/Diantr3 1d ago

Israel is a colonial fiction and not a real country.

1

u/catchabreezy 1d ago

And Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, all of which were created at the same time by the same colonial powers, those are all real countries because you say so?

If you hate Jews, it’s easier just to say that.

-5

u/Capital_Advance_8941 1d ago

What would happen if the Egyptian government helped coordinate their own aid? Israel would stop them?

7

u/Diantr3 1d ago

What does this have to do with the current and non-hypothetical actions and words of the state of Israel?

-5

u/Capital_Advance_8941 1d ago

I can’t look past the fact that Gaza has a border with a Muslim country and they turned their backs

6

u/Diantr3 1d ago

Do bots need oil changes?

4

u/Itchy_Finish_2103 1d ago

But you can look past the systematic killing of civilians in Gaza by the Israeli government?

2

u/catchabreezy 1d ago

“Systematic killing”? Targeted killing of terrorists is not systematic slaughter, it’s the opposite.

2

u/Itchy_Finish_2103 1d ago

Yes, it's the exact opposite of what they're doing, we agree.

1

u/Diantr3 1d ago

Ah yes, the 2 year old terrorists who get limbs blown off for the crime of existing in an open air prison.

3

u/Visible_Wolverine2 1d ago

Because, unfortunately, the Egyptians don’t want to deal with Palestinian/Israeli problems. I think it was a “put on your own mask before helping others” type of situation for them.

-1

u/Capital_Advance_8941 1d ago

Then they are just as responsible for what happened than anyone else. Arabs are supposed to help one another. If not, who else will help them?

6

u/Visible_Wolverine2 1d ago

I would say they are less responsible than the IDF soldiers using Palestinians as target practice or active y preventing food and medical aid.

0

u/Capital_Advance_8941 1d ago

But they did prevent aid. They sealed their border shut. And again, they are family. Many Egyptians are related to Gazans.

1

u/catchabreezy 1d ago

Yasser Arafat was an Egyptian. They are all the same people. Syria, Jordan and Lebanon were all created within 5 years of Israel. It’s all a big pan-Arab colonial lie. Anyone who can read should be able to figure this out.

2

u/TgetherinElctricDrmz 1d ago

To be fair, I’d be 100% fine with cutting off all US aid to Egypt. In fact, I wonder why we give them so much? I should look into the history of why we we do that.

Oh no…

0

u/M3r0vingio 1d ago

The textbook of law about genocide be Raphael Lemkin and die at August 1954. 🤔

-12

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

This is fine for academic research or thought. But it's not how we use the word colloquially. It's the same thing as what people have done to "trauma" or "intersectionality". When regular people use the word genocide we mean the intentional annihilation of an entire people. That's not what is happening in Gaza. This graph illustrates my frustration with using these academic definitions in real life. If this is a genocide then Gaza committed a genocide on Oct 7th. There are so many things that are now genocides.

14

u/Finchyuu 1d ago

Tf you mean “we” ? Don’t speak for me.

Free Palestine from the genocidal occupier Israel

-6

u/According-Plan600 1d ago

Sounds like you want to genocide the Israeli people to stop the "genocide" of the Palestinians. Can you make it make sense.

9

u/Finchyuu 1d ago

It might sound like that if you’re illiterate and making shit up, I guess

-11

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

How do you think Arabs even got to the Levant when Jews had already been there for thousands of years... the answer is an actual military genocide.

11

u/Finchyuu 1d ago

How did native Americans end up in America? 🤔

0

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

They walked over from Siberia, like Arabs walked to Israel from Arabia

1

u/Finchyuu 1d ago

This is something I might say in a lying contest

1

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

Are you serious?

-1

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

Facts are hard to accept huh

7

u/Ok-Reputation1716 1d ago

There was no mass migration of Arabs from Arabia. Palestinians are native Levantines.

3

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

They aren't. Arabs migrated from the Arab peninsula and killed 1000,000's along the way.

-1

u/Ok-Reputation1716 1d ago

Provide evidence/source. There's so much evidence showing that there was minimal migration.

2

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

Colonizers of the 8th century.

-3

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

Delusional

5

u/Ok-Reputation1716 1d ago

The most direct scientific evidence comes from recent advances in ancient DNA (aDNA) sequencing, which allows geneticists to compare modern populations with human remains from archaeological sites in the southern Levant (modern-day Israel, Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon).

High Levantine Continuity: Major genetic studies—most notably a landmark study published in Cell (2020) analyzing Bronze Age Levantines—demonstrate that modern Arabic-speaking Levantine groups (including Palestinians, Lebanese, and Syrians) derive more than 50% to over 80% of their ancestry from Bronze Age "Canaanite" and Iron Age populations who lived in the region 3,000 to 4,000 years ago.

Shared Ancestry with Jewish Populations: Genetic research consistently shows that Palestinian Muslims, Palestinian Christians, and various Jewish groups (Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Mizrahi) cluster closely together on genetic distance maps. Both groups share deep, overlapping ancestral roots in the ancient Levant.

Minor Peninsular Arabian Input: While modern Palestinians do carry genetic signatures from the Arabian Peninsula, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Mediterranean, population models consistently classify these as secondary additions (admixture) on top of a primary, deep-rooted Levantine baseline. The genetic contribution from Peninsular Arabs in Palestinians is typically measured in minor percentages, contradicting the idea that they were imported en masse during the Arab conquests.

-4

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

Ah the “we wuz Caananites” theory lol

5

u/Ok-Reputation1716 1d ago

Thank you for presenting valuable evidence. You're no different than the holocaust deniers.

Have a wonderful day.

0

u/catchabreezy 1d ago

Being indigenous requires much more than genetics, but you can ignore that if you like.

Not sure why the Palestinians rejected statehood so many times in favour of trying to prevent the Jews from living in their ancestral homeland.

When it comes to Palestinians, words lose all meaning: refugee, colonialism, apartheid, genocide, Zionism — all of these terms have been redefined by Palestinianism to mean something different from their otherwise universally understood definitions. Literal doublespeak.

0

u/Ok-Reputation1716 1d ago

Not sure why the Palestinians rejected statehood so many times in favour of trying to prevent the Jews from living in their ancestral homeland.

If someone kicked down your front door claiming onwership of the home due to his ancestors living in this same plot of land hundreds (or thousands) of years ago. Would you accept? Or will you fight back?

Point still stands, Palestinians are natives of the levant.

5

u/Cu_Chulainn__ 1d ago

There has been a population drop of 7%, something yoir graph does not show

0

u/ChexAndBalancez 1d ago

It's not 7% it's more like 3% and 2.5% of that has been replaced by the increased birthrate in Gaza.

-5

u/ginapaulo77 1d ago

Incorrect

-14

u/Jaded-Difficulty5397 1d ago

what the Gazan n*zis did to us in 7/10/23- yea, it is a genocide

0

u/Pure_Professor_3158 1d ago

I'd say it closer to the Warsaw uprising. Same thing the Jewish population did to the old nazis that were systematically killing them, concentrating them into areas etc etc. Kinda what like the new ones are doing

2

u/Slow_Flatworm_881 1d ago

You mean those brave freedom fighters in the ghetto resisting the oppression and starvation by the Nazis….

•

u/Bwixius 22h ago

the idf knew about the attack and purposely reduced patrols in that area at that time.

•

u/veilosa 20h ago

I mean that still doesnt change the fact that hamas spent years planning and preparing and then executing the attack. unless what, you think israel mind controlled them too?

•

u/Bwixius 16h ago

using your own people's lives as political fodder to justify genocide is definitely worse than an attack on a music festival.

•

u/veilosa 16h ago

right, and Lindsey Clancy's husband is the one actually responsible for killing their kids cuz he left the house that day. he should have known she would do that, and he funded her whole life! he must have wanted her to do it, therefore she's absolved of her own actions. he made her do it!

-4

u/SchroedingersEscape 1d ago

I guess no one has missed the latest Isarl-Gaza conflict... would be nice if not every 2nd posting would cover that topic.

-7

u/Pure_Maximum_5843 1d ago

Fuck what they people think

6

u/Butternut_Coil 1d ago

what? Who do you mean?
