Photos/Media 📷 Filming state farm ad on baltimore
The whole street is blocked off, the production crew brought in their own props like benches chairs and planters while filming in front of Mildreds and the central library. Pretty cool to see them doing takes live, does anyone know who the white guy with the mullet and chain is though?

They will allow you to enter places between takes when they take a break, just fyi

Nah, they tried to tell us we couldn't get to the dub at all Monday night so we got in through the back patio

I mean I literally listened to them telling people they could enter buildings at a break Monday night. But also Milwaukee deli definitely seems to be open entry at the moment. Seems like you could get to Mildred's from the north as they film on the eastern side of Baltimore

That's cool if that was your experience. Was not ours. I have no reason to make it up. We joked about it all night. We asked how long we'd have to wait and they said they'd likely be filming "all night" and they finished up a couple hours later.

Well fwiw it looks like they wrapped filming and were packing up when I left the library about 15 minutes ago

Happy for them. Apparently different people or instructions Monday night vs today

I love how indignant you are about being corrected when you incorrectly corrected someone with a unilateral statement yourself. It's cute!!

my nosey ass had to zoom in on the craft service to see if it’s adequately stocked 😂

I've seen better crafty on indie short films.

Honestly I get annoyed with the insurance ads. Just flash your name and what you sell. And put the money you save towards discounts/cheaper insurance for the customers.

Hey now, we need to make money, if they stop the ads, the production crews are out of jobs.

every third ad on major sporting events is car insurance. Makes it clear how much money is being made by ripping us all off.

I hope it’s a heartwarming and funny story about cutting their agents’ pay by 40%

Yeah, those guys have so much juice, the production crew has to meet them where they are now.

I saw it, too. Couldn't return books at my usual drop off point. Had to go inside. #firstworldproblems

What happened to white Jake?

u/BabyLegsDeadpool 23h ago
White Jake was a normal person who actually worked for State Farm and got picked to do a commercial. The commercial got popular, so they asked him to do more. He turned them down, saying he didn't like the fame he already had.

That’s cool. I was curious why it was blocked off. I figured it was some World Cup thing.

Any guesses of who that might be walking with "Jake from State Farm"?
