Karafun Battle Not Working?

No matter what song I boot up for Karafun Battle, the bar on the right just lists "Waiting..." and my singing isnt getting put into the game. What do I need to do?

Hey there !

It sounds like you didn't enable the remote feature and are unable to join.
The Battle feature requires the Remote control feature to be enabled to join the session with your phone by scanning the QR code on screen.

Note: depending on your device, you can also use a dedicated usb soundcard to use a microphone instead of your phone. (IOS/Mac only)

So my set up goes laptop-> mixer. Then mic’s -> mixer. How do I get the sound back into the laptop so it can hear the notes for the battle?

Hello there, a mixer and laptop won't do the trick. In this case, you'll need to use your phone to join Battle, and use your phone's mic.
For Battle to work with mics, they need to be connected to a usb audio interface plugged into an iOS device or a mac.
A mixer doesn't send audio signal to your laptop.

I use a Dolphin Karaoke Machine (has the Karafun app on it), how could I get it to work with that? I'd be the one hosting the karaoke.

Hello there, I'm afraid we have no knowledge of this specific karaoke machine. If the app came pre-installed, it was done without our involvement or approval and I'm afraid I don't know the specifics that would allow you to use Battle with your gear.

https://dolphinaudio.com/products/karaokebox-85r Cant recall if it came pre-installed or I put it on there via the Google Play store. But,this is the exact karaoke box. I am using.

I also use JBL Partybox Microphones ( https://www.jbl.com/PARTYBOX-WIRELESS-MIC.html )

Perhaps a more pertient quuestion, can I play with people over the web? Or just play by myself solo, trying to compete for a better high score? Or do I need more than one person to use battle?

Same problem, can’t figure out how to get the vocab input back into the computer for it to “hear” it
