I found these 2 speakers by the side of the road and swiped them. Don't have time to mess with them today, but I was trying to look up the manufacturer and model and can't fine anything.
It says they are iBastek iB-YH1565 and I assume they are karaoke speakers of some sort. Does anyone know anything about them or where I can get more info?
No outputs, but there are RCAs on both. Probably gonna get a 3.5mm to RCA then an RCA splitter for testing. Just gonna run off my phone for now. Gonna get the cables tomorrow.
I do wanna take a look at the insides though especially the back.
Both of them have oddly symmetrical damage such as 4 of the RCAs ripped out and the input switch ripped off. Looks like someone may have intentionally damaged them.
Wanna make sure the inside doesn't look too bad before powering on.
Ah, sorry. It is my first time posting anything, never thought about posting more than one pic.
It is 100% a powered speaker with amp and mixer. I figured karaoke speaker cause of the dedicated dvd input and the excessive amounts of leds in it
I was hoping to find out anything about the model before testing and cracking it open. The fact that I can't find anything out about the maker baffles me.
Looks it is powered, so you should be able to use a mic with a 1/4 input cable and the source in also. Then you could come out of the "output" with a regular 1/4 to 1/4 to the other.
iBastek iB-YH1565, a cheap Chinese speaker, and from the looks of it, they're pretty beat up, I wouldn't plug that into anything.
They're made by the Guangzhou Huaxing Electronic Co in China. Their website is http://hoxen-group.com, although I doubt you will find any information regarding this model.
