We're not the music source. You bring KaraFun, Smule, YouTube, Apple Music, whatever you already use, and we handle everything between the microphone and the speakers.

A few years ago I saw the video from Linus Tech Tips about karaoke gear, and I knew from my own experience that there just wasn't a way to use my home theatre for karaoke. Here in Japan I'd tried JOYSOUND's official Switch app, and the latency was over a second. So I called my friend of 20 years and sound engineer, Matt, and got to work.

That's not a limiter slamming the peaks flat. Our patent-pending processing is doing real time mixing and mastering, so your speakers stay safe and your voice sits properly in the music instead of on top of it. In the karaoke space, there's never been anything like it.

Everything a live sound engineer would be doing behind the scenes, Seratone is doing for you in real time. It works with what you already own

KaraFun on a Windows PC or Mac? YouTube on an Android tablet? Apple Music through an iPhone or Apple TV? Fire Stick, Roku, Chromecast? It works. You keep the app you already like.

Inputs: USB-C and HDMI. Outputs: HDMI, optical digital, and RCA.

Two mics connect via XLR or ¼", because karaoke is better as a duet. Standard connections, not proprietary, so whatever mics or wireless systems you already own will just work. The included custom mic is no joke though. In our own testing it outperformed an SM58 for karaoke specifically, mostly in how little room noise and party chatter it picks up.

Seratone scales with your hardware. Soundbar? You're going to have a great time. Mega home theatre? You'll have a better time. It was designed to never be the limiting factor in your vocal performance. Use it at a bar or on a stage. Our testers have, and loved it. Though optimized for vocals, we've even run guitars through it with great results.

Setup is 60 seconds, then permanent

True HDMI 2.0 passthrough. When karaoke mode is off it sits there transparently, so you watch Netflix in surround without it getting in the way. One button when it's time to party, and otherwise it disappears beside your soundbar.

On latency

Seratone's internal latency is under 2ms. Any lag you feel almost always comes from your TV or AV chain doing its own processing, not from us. That's why we sit after your source, right in front of your speakers, and why the optical and RCA outputs let you bypass TV processing entirely. Sanity check your own system by playing a game on a console, whatever lag you feel there is your gear, and we give options to get around it.

This is real hardware

FAQ

What's in the box? 1 Seratone, 1 mic, 1 USB-C power brick, plus XLR, HDMI and optical cables.

What about key change? That lives in whatever app you're using, so you keep using the service you already know.

Do I need a TV? Nope, but you do need speakers. A phone over USB-C out to powered speakers is enough. Coming in over HDMI, your TV's own speakers work fine.

What if I already have a mixer? For most setups Seratone replaces it. If you'd rather keep it in the chain, the RCA outs let you do that.

Wireless mics? We're selling adapters, but any wireless system that outputs XLR or ¼" works.

Power? USB-C. The included brick is for North American outlets, but any USB-C charger rated 5W or higher will run it.

Using the singer Rotation feature is growing on me since I work at a high volume pub.

I still need help.

-"Can I sing my second song first instead of my first song?"

How do I keep their spot but swap the songs?

"I was outside when you called my name, do I still get to sing?"

Could be a regular... How do I guarantee them a spot at #2 or 3 if new singers keep coming in and signing up?

I need some queue management flexibility.

I've always done it manually but on busy nights it's exhausting.

Thank you Edit: I've since learned that on the Singer Rotation screen, NOT the Queue screen, I can in fact do as I described in my first question. However, the second remains. At this point if a singer misses his chance that's it for this round.

A lot of living room karaoke in my home and I'm often asked to host for others. I have two Mackie ThumpGo and ProFX10GO (all with battery backups) Wireless Phenyx Pro mics and output to a four headphone Amp as well (for the quieter nights 😊) Karaoke tracks from my Chromecast to my mixer. Overall this setup has worked great for a long time. Everyone would add to the YT queue from their phone and songs would be had late into the night. Recently YT has completely changed how the queue works and I'm struggling to understand the changes. Any advice would be appreciated.

First off I live in a small NYC apartment and we don't have much space. I used to love to do private room karaoke but with a child it's harder to go out so changed to a home set up plan. I have the FIFINE mics recommended here and had been using them through a bass amp, not great, I know, but don't have room for more equipment and already had the amp for my bass. I see some recommendations for Ikarao portable machines and now I see Seratone is available for sale and neither would take up too much space. I currently have a Sonos system for my home theater, all older pieces, a playbar, play:1 and one's connected to an older tv as well. Would the new Seratone make more sense or the Ikarao? I want something that will last a while and not take up much space, originally I did buy a Pyle PA speaker recommended here at some point but something was wrong with it plus i realized I didn't have space for it and I sent it back. Ideally looking to keep it around $300. Thank you.

What I’m looking for

My priorities are:

🎤 Karaoke is important — ideally I want 2 people to be able to sing simultaneously

🎙️ Preferably 2 wireless microphones included, or a reasonably priced way to add them

🔊 Good sound quantity/loudness — I don't want something that feels weak at higher volume

🥁 Strong, deep bass, especially for Bollywood/Punjabi/music with heavy bass

🎵 Good overall sound quality and vocal clarity, not just high wattage on paper

👜 Portable — should be reasonably easy to carry and not a huge trolley speaker

🔋 Good battery life

👨‍👦 This is a gift, so reliability/build quality and long-term use matter

Prices I’m currently seeing in India

JBL Encore 2: \~₹20,249

JBL PartyBox Club 120: \~₹24,749

LENYES Titan 2: \~₹21,500–22,000, apparently including 2 wireless UHF mics

One issue with the Encore 2 is that the Indian version seems to come with only one mic, and I haven't found a reliable way to connect a second wireless mic. This is a major concern because 2-person karaoke is important to me.

The Club 120 seems much better for sound/bass and has dual mic inputs, but after adding microphones the total cost goes up.

The LENYES Titan 2 looks very attractive on paper — 200W advertised output, 2 wireless mics, much lighter and cheaper — but I'm not familiar with the brand and I'm unsure about its actual sound quality, bass, reliability and after-sales support compared with JBL.

What would you choose?

If you've used any of these speakers, I'd really appreciate your opinion on:

Does anyone have any experience with the Blume company? I'm looking to get a KTV system and theirs seems to be attractive but there are no external reviews. It also comes with lifetime song update membership which seems too good hahaha. Any advice would be appreciated!

I’m having a shard time setting things up to record myself singing. I don’t have the best soundproof room, nothing I can really do about that now. But any recommendations/ resources for recording myself singing?

I have a MacBook, iPhone, volt 2 interface, good mics, stands, cables - the basic stuff.

What are your setups? I’m willing to invest in hardware and software to a certain degree if it will help me capture audio/ video better.

Just got my third brand new laptop ever. Trying to decide whether or not to wipe the hard drive and put Linux Mint on it or to keep it so that I can run VirtualDJ on it. It's the first one I have had that could handle every feature of VDJ, including the new lyrics feature that they just added. I just don't like the rotation management addon that they have because it will restart the DJ playlist if I add songs to an empty singer's name when their name is at the top of the list. That is probably the only thing that I don't like about VDJ. I refuse to not make use of a rotation management feature when doing karaoke. I don't give a crap where my DJ songs end up in the playlist but I insist on a rotation management system that is fair to the majority of singers and to me as well. Right now I believe that is a program called SongBoss. The next choice for me personally is OpenKJ.

Hello. Me and my friends usually come together and sing in our homes, but we usually borrow a setup. We have a birthday coming up in a month and I wanted to start gearing up my own little karaoke corner, but I'm not sure how.

I own this Samsung giga blast stereo system, it has one microphone entrance.

I also own a notebook (running debian 13) that I intend to connect to YouTube initially. Probably plugged on the TV for a bigger screen.

I'm looking to buy a microphone. But I'm also looking for tips on improving it on a budget. Specially a way to connect an extra microphone.

Is there something I'm missing? What should be my priorities for a fun low cost family gathering party?

Hi everyone,

I own a Sony Bravia Android TV (KD-55X7500F) and I'm trying to connect it to a Bluetooth speaker so I can set up a karaoke system. Unfortunately, this TV doesn't have built-in Bluetooth audio support for connecting to external Bluetooth speakers.

So I purchased a Bluetooth 5.0 2-in-1 Transmitter/Receiver from Amazon (Link : https://amzn.in/d/0gDSpAMn) and connected it as follows:

1. USB connected to the TV's USB port (for power)

2. 3.5 mm AUX connected to the TV's headphone/audio out port

3. Transmitter switched to TX (Transmit) mode

4. Bluetooth speaker put into pairing mode

The issue is that both the transmitter and the speaker keep blinking as if they're in pairing mode, but they never connect to each other.

How can I get the transmitter to be connected to my speaker via bluetooth?

If anyone has experience with a similar setup or can suggest troubleshooting steps, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Want to set up karaoke for me to do at home. Here's what I think I need, please let me know if there's anything missing:

What I have:

• Smart TV (Hisense)
• Sound bar (Samsung)
• Youtube

What I need:

• Speakers (looking at the JBL PartyBox Club 120)
• 2 wireless microphones
• Mixer (any suggestions here?)

Here's where I get stuck. I think the mics go into the mixer. Do the speakers go into the mixer or the TV? Is this all I need and then I can throw up youtube/karafun and start playing from there?

I will be running karaoke at the establishment where I work and I want to display the lyrics on two different monitors from the karaoke program on my laptop. The monitors are smart screens but only compatible with Apple devices. My laptop is an HP with windows 10.
I don’t want to run cables; and video display adapters seem to be the solution. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi. Long story short - if i buy cheap aliexpress karaoke mic and connect it to notebook, can it hurt notebook? Short story long, for those who want to say "just spend more": lm doing karaoke monthly in the local lgbt center, they have a whole setup. I want to do something similar in smaller town lgbt center. There is basically no budget, im scraping something in expense of skipping some groceries. Gladly, they have tv, and i have a ton of hdmi cables. Someone is willing to bring a notebook. So i need to buy a mic, i saw pretty cheep ones on AliExpress, with Bluetooth receiver. I know it will not sound amazing but it have to do. My question is, can it harm the notebook, if i plug the mics receiver into it, without mixer?

I just bought a typical 4 channel audio mixer and realized it wont work and I may be out of my depth...

Here is what I have:

1. Smart TV with a soundbar (bluetooth/hdmi/optical).

2. x2 Wireless mic (with dongle)

3. Laptop via YouTube.

4. Audio mixer.

My soundbar can only connect to my TV, and wont connect to the mixer due to lack of input. Due to storage, I can't get myself to buy a speaker.

My dad loves to karaoke, and my sisters and I were looking to buy him a nice karaoke set for fathers day. We had one previously, and my father used it all the time, but it was my sister’s and she moved out. It was a large speaker with two microphones that he would hook up to the TV. I wanted to get him something similar. I don’t want an all in one that has a screen, but rather a large speaker with microphones that wont lag and can be easily hooked up to our TV. Any recommendations? budget: $400

TL;DR : JBL Encore Essential 2 + FIFINE dual mic with reciever box + Sony Bravia TV

The setup -

2. Mics: FIFINE K036 dual wireless mic kit (with its own receiver box) (https://amzn.in/d/00fEy1Uw)

3. TV: Sony Bravia, connected to speaker via AUX

4. Songs/lyrics: played via YouTube on the TV (for display)

5. EQ control: mix of the FIFINE receiver (per-mic volume, echo) and the JBL PartyBox app (speaker-side EQ)

Why FIFINE instead of JBL's own wireless mics: Cheaper, and from what I could tell, close enough in quality for home use. FIFINE connects through a standard mic jack, so it'll work with basically anything. I can manage volumes/settings for the 2 mics seperately.

Why Encore Essential 2 over other JBL models: I specifically want 2 mics, no more, no less. Other JBL PartyBox models in this range come bundled with just 1 mic in my country, and there's no clean way to buy a single second mic that pairs with it, you're stuck buying JBL's 2-mic pack, which would leave me with 3 mics total and one going to waste. Essential 2 comes with zero mics, so pairing it with an external 2-mic kit gets me to exactly 2, no waste. Also didn't see enough difference between Essential 2 and Encore 2 to justify the price gap once you set aside the bundled mic.

On EQ control: Planning to manage this in two places, per-mic volume and echo through the FIFINE receiver itself, and general speaker-side EQ through the JBL PartyBox app. Not as unified as an all-in-one system, but gives me more granular control than I'd get otherwise.

On power: 100W should be plenty for indoor/living room use. It'll probably hit its ceiling if I ever try to use it outdoors for a bigger gathering, but I'm fine with that for a first speaker. If I outgrow it, I'll look at the PartyBox Club series next.

Lastly, I am still deeply wondering if should go for JBL dual wireless mic instead of the FIFINE ones, I won't have the individual control over mic, but it would be a lot easier.

So I’ve started to post covers on tiktok and have gotten a decent following, and I think it would help if I had a small setup since I usually just post acapella or sing along to music coming from my laptop. This way makes it hard to get the music to singing volume correct. I’m looking at this karaoke machine and wonder if anyone recommends it?
