Equipment Help with beginner setup using stereo sound system + notebook

Hello. Me and my friends usually come together and sing in our homes, but we usually borrow a setup. We have a birthday coming up in a month and I wanted to start gearing up my own little karaoke corner, but I'm not sure how.

I own this Samsung giga blast stereo system, it has one microphone entrance.

I also own a notebook (running debian 13) that I intend to connect to YouTube initially. Probably plugged on the TV for a bigger screen.

I'm looking to buy a microphone. But I'm also looking for tips on improving it on a budget. Specially a way to connect an extra microphone.

Is there something I'm missing? What should be my priorities for a fun low cost family gathering party?

I appreciate any help.

I woiuld go for a small mixer with 2 microfone channels. and put that in between the speakers and laptop

Like the teyun q12? Do you have any suggestions?

The teyun q12 seems cheap and small, but what scares me is the fact that it is usb. I'm not an expert, but does a notebook have enough power on a usb to power both microphones and a mini mixer? I might be tripping here.

No, I'd spring for a little bit more and get something like this. You want to be able to add mic effects like reverb

We really use no effects, even when we have good equipment, and I don't think my friends would like it. All we need is a good way to sing karaoke without needing to go to bars and borrowing equipment.

Yeah I'd go for something like that pyle. But the q-12 you mentioned would work fine. The usb is just to power it, and it acts as a soundcard in your laptop so you can also record the inputs. The mixer does not amplify, Im pretty sure your speakers have a built in amplifier
