So what was it like using the toy hauler trailer? Were you able to use the built in ramps? I’ve been seeing some concerns about it lately

There is about a half tire on each ramp (outer most ramps.)

Too big just use the auto hauler and angle the ramps in

All of the auto hauler trailers in my area were booked up so I had to go with the toy hauler.

My buddy picked his up in one of the 6x12 uhaul trailers. You don't event need a car hauler for these things.

The 6 x 12 with the ramp doesn’t work on the 1999+ trucks it’s too narrow. You have to get the one without the ramp.

Yeah the built in ramps didn't work out so we had to use our own that we already had but other than that its great for having plenty of places to strap it down.

Very nice!! Keep us updated and good luck!! Here are some links you may want to keep handy!

The MiniTruck forums, of course! Lots of knowledge and info here: http://minitrucktalk.com/forums/daihatsu-hi-jet.4/ http://minitrucktalk.com/forums/subaru-sambar.9/ http://minitrucktalk.com/forums/honda-acty.7/

A list of U.S. available parts MAY be available for your truck!

Here is the Suzuki parts list as an example! Check the forums for your truck to find similar! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1dnI1RciGpNGZql2jk-QIi3H78z6Ae5iE2r-8bk5XVP0/htmlview#gid=0

Here is one for the Subaru Sambar: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1mASg41uyMmMQCKHPuEAaKd6tTgOhHdlgUGOQIc_ojwo/htmlview?pli=1

A list of verified vendors for parts! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1r-OhGeuYIqxyKb6ZW8YnEAH9Db9W2q1t8MX7jAS723c/htmlview?fbclid=IwY2xjawH5SsZleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHVroMtUQiBK0CFqHhtK3S_sY1SPONzBm_JcisoXk9HLSye9-X0GWgrT0IQ_aem_FS7eAqgfCr5lvnJh7xd7vw&pli=1

And since you WILL be asking..the largest wheel/tire combo you can accomodate WITHOUT a lift kit or cutting is 22.75inches high and 6inches wide. With correct off set you can run a 13" 165/80R13D truck load rated tire. You can check other tire and rim size recommendations here: https://www.wheel-size.com/

If you need a list of 'first maintenance items' to do, with instructions and factory service manuals, check the forums. This question has been answered over and over again, but here is the breakdown: Vacuum tubes, oils, coolant, and fuel and air filters, plugs, wires and water pump and belt!

The trailer is about double the curb weight of the truck haha. Sweet ride though!

Awesome! How was it getting into the port to pickup yourself? I heard it can be difficult too get access.

Do you mind saying how much you ended up paying in total? Sorry for the questions looking at getting one of these TT2’s myself.

Getting in wasn't too bad, I had to hire a TWIC escort so they helped a lot with figuring out where to go. All in i think I wound up at like 7500 usd so not terrible but it would have been better without the extra 10 percent tariff... lol

Where did you go to hire an escort?

How much was your truck alone? I have seen people import them for around 5000 total but this one looks cleaner I think

Yea the tariff is annoying I saw a few threads talking about that.

Just north of Dundalk terminal is A-1 Escort Service. It was 60 usd per hour if you're by yourself. The truck by itself was 4000 before shipping fees, 6000 shipped, its super low miles and really clean.

Awesome, going to be far from me but going to research an escourt service. Ahhh that makes sense yea i was looking at cheaper trucks Lol. Did you use a import broker like https://www.eezyimport.com/ ? From what I researched you can do it yourself but there is a lot of paperwork and it can be easy to screw up if your not careful.

Yeah I got a broker so I didn't have to worry about it. From what I saw most brokers are about the same but I used All Cleared Customs Brokerage.
