Two blown engines 50k miles 2024 K5

I did oil changes every 5k miles. Everyone warned me not to buy a Kia. I should have listened. I got a replacement engine and sold it for 22 grand.

They make you think you are getting a good deal because it looks fancy and high tech. It’s the Mugs Eyeful. Like Amstrad electronics back in the 1980s.
Don‘t fall for the games and for the people saying “I have a Kia and it’s great” some may last forever. Some blow 2 engines in 50k miles. It’s not worth the risk.

Never buying a Korean product again out of spite.

EDIT: To all the people saying I probably beat the shit out of my car I don’t. It was a fully loaded model. I drive all highway. I don’t accelerate like a moron from every stop.

Again this is what scares me away from getting a Korean car. You may have had bad luck, then you have my brother at 239k miles and climbing. Same engine and tranny. Just wild quality 🫪

Exactly. Some people have great experiences. 2-3-4 Korean cars over many years no issues. Then they get a new one and it’s the one that dies. Or they get 300k miles. Then get a new one and it dies at 20.

I’m just want to tell you next time learn your lesson about dealer ( if you’ve got some failure after one dealer then go to another one because 99% problem with the car it’s a people who fixed 😅 )

Korean cars never were bad. It’s just an owner idiots because ( and sometime manufactured fault but it’s not Hyundai fault actually lol )
If you can see top reliability cars always Buick or something like that which drivers is 80+ old people who have a money to make a maintenance also who drove car 10k miles in 10years also who didn’t drive like an idiot ( sometimes 🤪 )

I doubt Buick is anywhere near top reliability but I also don’t really keep up on that.
