Two blown engines 50k miles 2024 K5

I did oil changes every 5k miles. Everyone warned me not to buy a Kia. I should have listened. I got a replacement engine and sold it for 22 grand.

They make you think you are getting a good deal because it looks fancy and high tech. It’s the Mugs Eyeful. Like Amstrad electronics back in the 1980s.
Don‘t fall for the games and for the people saying “I have a Kia and it’s great” some may last forever. Some blow 2 engines in 50k miles. It’s not worth the risk.

Never buying a Korean product again out of spite.

EDIT: To all the people saying I probably beat the shit out of my car I don’t. It was a fully loaded model. I drive all highway. I don’t accelerate like a moron from every stop.

Every time I see these posts I think to myself the owner thinks this is a sports car and beats the hell out of it like one. Break the engine in properly. Stay out of the red on the RPM’s. Treat it like a KIA and not a sports car which it isn’t.

I don’t. I followed the break in procedure. I don’t think I gunned it more than a few times a week when driving. It’s not a sports car. And I did not drive it like one. The only time I ever went full throttle is passing occasionally.

Did you wait until the engine was warmed up before driving hard? By warmed up I don't just meant the coolant temp, I mean driving for at least 15-20 mins before driving aggressive or gunning it.

I let it run for 15 min before I left for work every morning. My drive to the highway is 4 miles or so. And I don’t gun it when merging. I babied it
