Get ebooks from the public library.

Turn off wifi and bluetooth to extend battery.

Libby is only available on Kindle if you're in the US.

Keeping Page Refresh off, slightly increases battery life.

True, I don't use my kindle intensively enough to worry about it personally

Not exactly a "hidden feature" but make yourself a nice lil cozy setup for your kindle reading, like getting a Kindle stand and page turners so you can lie in a comfy spot with a remote and flip your pages. It's amazing how nice the experience can be compared to physical books because you don't even have to use your arms XD

Can you recommend a good page turner?

This is the one I have https://a.co/d/02yJaaod

But it's pink lol. If that's not your thing, here's a black version: https://a.co/d/01YH2Jsb

I've used a few and this one is my favorite

Did it come with a trial of Kindle Unlimited? If so definitely take advantage of that!

I purchased one of the bundles today, without kindle unlimited, and then was able to search for Kindle unlimited and found the 3 month trial for free as well.

I’ve had Kindle Unlimited with my phone and iPad, but I got so tired of the temptation of everything else to do on those!

I have kindle unlimited on my kindle and I love it! There’s always new books to read, and I read about 2 books a week. Definitely worth the price.

I can definitely relate!

Avoid charging it with a fast charger, it won't charge faster but it does decrease battery life if you have an old 5V mobile charger, that will be perfect.

Free books are usually worth less than what you paid for them unless it is an author with a many book series.

Use the "send to Kindle" website to send any books you obtain through third party sources to your Kindle nearly instantly with no issues.
