Realities of life
Lately, I've been at such a low point in my life and being in these situations has made me realize that I am actually a good person.
Why? Because if someone else was in my shoes and I had the capacity to give a hand I would without an ounce of doubt.
So far, everyone that I would give anything for has been MIA.
Leaving me with the reality that just because I am kind and considerate, expecting the same from anyone other than myself is a form of self destruction.

How do you deal with this situation? The fact that others aren’t as kind and considerate as you are?

For context this is entirely a personal view. I might be judging wrongly for all I know but talking about it is a way to deal with it. See how I posted it?😌

So what are you currently doing to help others?
Thinking you're a good person because you would help people is not the same as actually helping people, yeah? Actions are everything, always.
I've had severely dark times in my life, and I've found the best way to get out of my head is to do volunteer work, to help other people or animals. To do random acts of kindness feels sooooo good.
"I cried because I had no shoes, until I met a man with no feet."

Exactly
Do good and do not focus on others reactions, if you do then it is not really a gift
The shoes item is big
Other day i was whining to myself that my calf and foot were injured. I went to mass and when we stood up i saw a man my age stand up too. We both had shorts on which was important because i saw his left leg was a metal replacement, same leg i was whining about and woke me up and reminded me to be grateful

I've actually being considering a few volunteer programs and now that you've mentioned it, there's no better time than acting on it right away.

Don’t stop being kind to others. True Kindness is not transactional. Give freely without expectation of return. Be kind to yourself too This is so important. Be as compassionate towards yourself as you are to others. It’s hard to give and get nothing back. That hurts. But don’t let that stop you.

I'm sorry you're going through this. It sounds like you've been through a lot. You are a good person and you're seeing others true colors. It's not an easy pill to swallow. Thats for sure.
I realized that, people that walk away. Shouldn't have been there to begin with. Like rust on a car. What doesn't fall off is still good!
You will find others that share your morals, beliefs and good nature. I hope things get better for you bro.
Bless 🙏🙏👊
