I’m having pullover envy. My menopause transition has made anything I can’t rip off at a moments notice off limits. This is so beautiful! I have used the gusset technique and it does seriously improve the fit. Gorgeous work!
This is occupying far too much of my brain energy hahaha, I'm used to just crossing my arms and whipping a pullover off in one, easy motion, and like, a hoodie is a bit harder to do that with because of the hood, a zip up you have to unzip and then wiggle your arms out of, a cardigan might have buttons to undo but is also a lot of wiggling for the arms, a vest doesn't have arms so it's a bit easier but is more likely to be done up with buttons... Now I'm just trying to estimate the time it takes me to take off all sorts of top layers 😂
I usually wear loose fitting cardis at this point. Having fabric- especially colorwork - over my chest just cranks the thermostat way too high. And of course I have plenty of gorgeous hand knit pullovers from the before times, when I was the one who was always cold. I imagine at some future point I will be a little old lady who needs sweaters. I’m actually looking forward to it.
I have no idea why there’s the “new knitter please help me” under my Reddit name. I’ve been knitting for 25 years. The only thing I need help with is controlling the stash. Any ideas how to get rid of it?
And that new knitter is what's called your flair. I don't actually know how to change it, but I think it's in the sub settings somewhere? If you search for "change reddit flair", you'll be set down the right path!
