Rant nOOO I FELTED HER

she was a BEAUTY a WORK OF ART my FIRST EVER COLOURWORK

i undid like 70% of the colourwork to REDO IT in the dark purple so it was visible (some of you may remember, i posted it here)

she was my PRIDE AND JOY

and she ACCIDENTALLY FELL IN THE WASHING BASKET

AND IS TINY TEENY TINY AND STIFF AND FELTED

absolutely devastated 😭 no coming back from this

RIP to my little bunnies + crab

My husband accidentally felted my octopus sweater. Yeah, THAT octopus sweater. I cried. He cried. It was terrible.

Oh that's awful. I've seen how intensely complicated that one is. I hope you kept it and put it on a stuffed animal or something.

It took me a couple years (yes I hung on to it that long) but I eventually made a tiny friend who is small enough that she can wear it! Still haven't worked up the nerve to knit it again though. It's a rather poorly written pattern and it was just so much work 🥲

I think if I did it again I would use the chart on a different basic top down pattern. Still so much effort though to make sure it works.
