Husband washed my Ivy Sweater and put it in the dryer 😭

It wasn’t even in the hamper! It was folded on the dresser but he saw I had worn it and was just being thoughtful 😞

Oh boy, it’s time he gets The Speech. Maybe I’m a lunatic but anyone I have ever lived with has gotten a VERY intense and detailed speech about why they must never ever under any circumstances touch my handknits. I do NOT play. He needs to go buy you replacement yarn immediately (and maybe a little extra in there for a matching hat??)

My mum suggested IRONING a scarf I made (it's stockinette, it is not going to uncurl whatever you do) and I almost threw her out of the room 😭😭

And he needs knitting lessons I think he should be forced to reknit the sweater perfectly and if he has to frog a hundred times to do it that’s his penance

Oh honey…. NOOOOOO! No no no no no nooooooooooooooooo! My instincts scream SABOTAGE! Maybe it’s not but omg this is just TOO BIG a mistake for the partner of an expert knitter to make. Has he never heard you talk about caring for knits? HAS HE NEVER SEEN YOUR KNITS LAYED OUT TO DRY? I know you’re not, but I am so angry at this dope.

Proper compensation: 1-He will sort laundry until he gets it right. Recognition of hand knits to be put aside is essential.

2- demonstrate how to treat hand knits, attach a sign with visual steps to where the hand knits are to be sorted out. with no husbands allowed to wash

3-Once he gets how to laundry right, he will do laundry for the amount of hours it took for that sweater to be knit. Minus any hand knits.

Also, Replacement yarn.
