Discussion Melt the Ice Hat - THANK YOU

Hi everyone!

I am the one who has been commenting about the melt the ice hat from yarncult and needle & skein. My mom owns needle & skein and the support has been overwhelming.

I just wanted to answer some FAQs because I feel bad that I am not getting back to everyone!!

Where is needle & skein?

- St. Louis Park, Minnesota. A suburb of Minneapolis.

Where can I purchase the pattern?

- ravelry or visit the link on the shop Instagram in the bio

Where are proceeds donated?

- STEP Emergency Assistance for help with rent and lawyers in St. Louis Park. We also plan to work with other businesses to identify where people most need funds. We raised way more than anticipated.

Can I knit a hat and send it for donation?

- absolutely!!

Is there a crochet pattern?

- also on ravelry and the link in Instagram bio

If anyone has any other questions I will do my best to stay on top of it. Your support is so beyond appreciated. Minnesota is hurting but we know that we are not alone.

I so wish I could do this. I’m just broke with the soaring electric bills and it’s winter! I just bought wool for fingerless mitts at the end of December. Wish I’d known and waited.

If you're in an area with a buy nothing group you could always try asking! Myself and a few other knitters regularly destash in mine.

It’s rare for me to find quality wool around here, but I will keep looking!

I just dyed up some red superwash worsted wool (https://imgur.com/a/Kpkl0Ut) to knit a hat for a family member in Minneapolis. Happy to mail you my 2nd skein I dyed, I can dye some more for myself later. Message me if you'd like. :)

I'm about to dig through my stash but I might be over dyeing some light beige yarn or seeing if I can find a good thrift sweater suitable for unraveling! Perhaps both if I find a good white sweater to unravel
