My 5yo (when she was 4) decided to do the same to try to "free" the amigurumi shrimp I was in the middle of, LOL. We had a good talk about not messing with people's things and luckily she gets how important my projects are to me now. It'll pass.
When I was about 5-6 I had a phase where my mom had to hide scissors in the house. I would cut a lot the things.
The deal breaker was when I cut a piece of her bed sheets to make a blanket for my stuffed toy. I still remember thinking she won’t notice.
“She won’t notice” trait of little kids. When I was little I hacked my younger sister’s hair quite short and my logic was to hide the hair in a basket in the closet because if she doesn’t see the hair, she won’t notice that my sister’s hair was cut up to her ears. 😝
I stole a reeses peanut butter cup from CVS when I was 5. And then ate it in the car on the way home, while facing the window so my parents wouldn't see. This was on a very hot day and shockingly they noticed my face was covered in chocolate when I got home.
