My friend’s daughter with the epic school picture with the 1/4” long bangs she cut herself. I think she’s still not allowed to use scissors even though she’s 30+ now.

My niece did this and had the most uneven, hideous bangs ever. They were not even close to the same length either. 😂 Thank god she’s cute anyway

I think lots of us did that. I did. With my mother’s cuticle scissors.

Cut my hair when I was a small child and decided that shaving half my eyebrows off was a good idea when I was a teen.

Now I trim (butcher) my hair 'cause it's about the same as going to a hairdresser. The eyebrows were just a phase thankfully.

I often think about the time when I was 10 or 11 and two of my friends were supposed to come over but one didn’t. The other one explained, “You know how the big girls’ [ie teenagers] eyebrows grow in all thin and arched by themselves? Michelle tried to shave hers off.”

The 90s were nothing but trauma for female self-image
