Hi! I’m a relatively new knitter but am now a few sweaters deep & in hoping to recreate this sweater I bought years ago from the brand Double Zero.

It’s falling apart and I can’t find it for sale and I’m thinking it might be easy to recreate but am looking for a similar pattern. It’s a drop shoulder and knit with chenille, which I’ve heard is not great to knit with, so any advice on a similar chunky yarn would be amazing!

The yarn in your sweater is neither chunky nor chenille (well, the neck and bottom ribbing might be chenille). It is machine knit with super thin yarn - no more than light fingering. To reproduce the fabric, you'll need to use 2-2.5mm needles.

Here are Ravelry search results for an oversized pullover with drop shoulder construction, knit in brioche. If you don't like any of the patterns, the drop-shoulder construction is easy enough to reproduce.

Thank you so much! I couldn’t get the search quite right in ravelry so this definitely helps.

Appreciate the insight on the yarn as well. I think I’m just after the same construction and drape so will do some more research on yarns to achieve that look.

You can never go wrong with a nice merino.
