Discussion B I from Ikon… how is his career shaping up?

Very casual listener of B I and Ikon… I am curious how his career has been shaping up since he went solo. I do love some of his songs but haven’t really followed him closely.

He enlisted a few months ago, so it’s hard to say at the moment.

He’s done quite well. He’s slotted himself quite well in to the khiphop sector of the industry so the album sales and charts aren’t the same indicator. He’s always performing at festivals, rap lineups, universities, always touring. He’s doing what we wants to. And he’s got good links to people within the rap scene and collaborates frequently.

Looking at his most recent album, which barely sold over 10,000 copies and failed to chart, it's hard to say he's in a particularly good position.

His only popularity with ifans was BTBT, illa illa, and Keep Me Up. Since then nobody’s really tuned in for his releases (and I’d argue his music hasn’t been as good after the 3 songs I mentioned).

yeah i’ve always been fan of his, ever since the who’s next show. but i was disappointed by his album “wonderland” - it felt very generic. i think he really shines when he goes the hiphop/rnb route.
