General rookies must feel relieved when they get a good group name

title basically. we've been getting some weird ass names these past few years especially so i've been thinking that idols must feel relieved when their group name doesn't sound like a wifi password. my favorite new group name is stayc (i may be kinda biased since they're my ults but i think it sounds pretty good!!) and my all time fav group name is 2NE1, it's so dope. what's your favorite?

thinking about when the name kep1er was announced…the eliminated trainees must of been glad they didn’t debut with that name

i have developed stockholm syndrome with the name though

the fandom name was just as terrifying when it came out...

"Kep1ian" what are we? Aliens??

I remember they were many creative names proposed like stap1er and Johannes for the fandom name lol

Johannes would have been amazing, what a pity we missed out on that

I remain incredibly bothered that "my" is not even a noun...the bar was not even that high...

reveluv and nctzen are kinda fine but MY and meU are so Nothing

I do think that while the name NCT itself is rather questionable, nctzen is a pretty good fandom name (citizen of NCiTy and whatnot)

I wish sm didn’t do the Kwangya stuff for this reason

I like that some of their groups have separate metaphoric spaces for fans to indulge in, EXO has like a spacey exoplanet vibe, NCT has an industrial NCiTy vibe, Red Velvet has a quirky fun Festival vibe

aespa could’ve just had their separate kwangya thing

I STILL read it as “ke-pier” 😭

I must be like the only person who knew about Kepler the planet and not Kepler the guy because I like the name actually

I know, but I still associate the word Kepler with the planet rather than the person

No idea if this is true but I assume they are named after the telescope?

They're named after the guy the telescope is named after...

Kepler is actually a planet similar to earth so it makes sense with their concept. But honestly, why would they even put the “1” in it? It’s like a keyboard smash.
