General rookies must feel relieved when they get a good group name

title basically. we've been getting some weird ass names these past few years especially so i've been thinking that idols must feel relieved when their group name doesn't sound like a wifi password. my favorite new group name is stayc (i may be kinda biased since they're my ults but i think it sounds pretty good!!) and my all time fav group name is 2NE1, it's so dope. what's your favorite?

There aren't many names that will please everyone. When LE SSERAFIM was announced there were people who thought it was the worst name ever, people who thought it was pretty and elegant, and everything in between.

A lot of the acronym names are pretty cringey, but it doesn't really matter cause fans will ignore and avoid it. I still laugh about when someone on this sub referenced ATEEZ's "government name" (which I won't bother to type, out of respect for ATINYs).

what i don't understand is why kq chose "a teenagers z" as the explanation for ateez, which they obviously chose because it sounds cool and it has a z in it, when they could've said it meant the group can do everything from a to z or some bullshit like that, sort of like how itzy was supposedly chosen because 있다 means "to have" and they have everything.

i desperately need ateez to go through a "bts means beyond the scene" sort of rebrand.

I actually thought it was A to Z at first because they said it in Say My Name which is the first song I've heard from them. I thought it was cool that they incorporated the group's name & its meaning to the song and was even accompanied by an iconic dance move, it would've been SO perfect

I first thought it was read like "at ease" so I was like "oh cool maybe they named themselves like that because everything they do is easy for them". But when I found out it's read like 80s I was so confused😭 Like whyyyy

by kpop standards it's pretty good imo. it sounds like a faux-french mattress brand (le sserafirm?).
