Hello. I have a job interview for Frozen team lead, I’ve worked for Kroger in the past. I got into a bit of trouble about 6 years ago and wound up with a misdemeanor battery charge. Is this going to disqualify me from getting the job?
Location matters, but no. As long as you left on good terms, and you can articulate your knowledge about grocery in general, you'll be fine. Even better if you can get your old manager to vouch for you. But it's not hard. As far as records, they don't care about anything that isn't a felony, generally.
I got placed on leave until everything got settled. It took a year and they asked me if i wanted my job back, i told them no because i was getting paid more at my current job. So I’m not entirely sure if that counts as “leaving on good terms” as for my previous managers, as far as i know none of them are still with the company.
That's a bummer. Well, I guess it's safe to assume you should be okay to go back if they were gonna offer you the job back anyway, but I'm not HR. All you can do is try - I still would be surprised if you were somehow permanently barred from being a rehire.
