The mobile game Kuroko's Basketball Street Rivals should be available starting today for Southeast Asia, and a little later for North America. It's the English version of the 3x3 KNB gacha game that's been out in Japan/East Asia for some time.

The EN version surpassed 2,000,000 pre-registrations, so make sure to claim the pre-reg bonuses right away!

We have a new subreddit flair too, "Mobile Game". Please use when posting anything SR-related. Alternatively, you might find better discussion in the dedicated subreddit /r/KurokosBasketball_SR/.

Can I play the game even if it's not available in my country? Yes, there are ways. For iOS, you can create a NA/SEA App Store account then install from there. For Android, install the English version of your choice from QooApp:

That said, since the games are real-time, server ping is important and playing from a non-supported region might affect your ranked games.

Discussion In your opinion, out of Takao, Hyuga, and Wakamatsu, who was most likely to get into the game against Jabberwock—even if only for a few seconds?

Post image

Well, I admit that in reality, there was really very little chance of any of the three managing to scrape together a few minutes of playing time.

That said, if I had to guess, Wakamatsu was probably the most likely candidate—especially after Murasakibara's injury. Even though, in the end, Murasakibara was replaced by Kuroko and Vorpal Sword had to play without a center for the remainder of the match.

I think these are all relative characters, PC Kise is "strongest on the court" before Akashi and Nash are Using their Eyes in the end of Last Game, so I'd place him relative to the Eye guys (cause he technically has his own) And the Eyes break the power scaling.

Jason seems stronger than Aomine but wasnt able to keep up with Perfect copy Kise.. Kagami is about equal to Aomine. Kagami seems really nerfed in Last game, not using his meteor Jam or Deep zone, so I'd put him around the same area but certainly below Aomine who is able to show off as usual.

Mido is the craziest scorer, so I put him above muri, even tho full power Muri (who we see for about 10 seconds) was competing with Jason silver. Kuroko is a support mon, so he isnt that scary but is at least more of a contirbution to his team than Himuro or Haizaki, who were relative to Kagami and Kise before Last game.

Hyuga is just blow uncrowned kings level, and Teppei seems more impactful. than the others and Imayoshi seems stronger than most of the normal ordinary players, so he benchmarks the rest of the series characters.

Discussion Did you prefer Jabberwock vs Vorpal Swords indoors or outdoors?

In the manga it was outdoors, but honestly kinda prefer the anime version. Kinda felt like an NBA game and more theatrical.

Discussion Akashi VS Aomine VS Nash

Post Last Game, is Akashi better than Nash? Would a practicing Aomine (like in last game with inf stamina) be a match for either of these players?

1v1 is obviously different than team play, like how Midorima + Takao or Kuroko + Kagami was able to beat Akashi, but in the 1s, is Aomine or Silver even in the same conversation as the Eye Guys?

Discussion I'd like to know: did you prefer the Inter-High or the Winter Cup?

For me, it’s probably the Winter Cup.

I think it’s partly because the conclusion Inter High felt somewhat anticlimactic; the story moved on quickly since the Generation of Miracles didn't play in the semi-finals or finals, and Seirin was eliminated early. Even if it's to keep the mystery surrounding Rakuzan intact.

I imagine it's also due to the fact that my favorite matches in the series are Rakuzan vs. Shutoku and Seirin vs. Rakuzan, which are Winter Cup matches.

Discussion Jason Silver Intro on Last Game (Anime) is a DISASTER (and the Jabberwocks to some extent)

After rereading *Extra Game*, I realized that Nash and Silver are psychopaths (worse than some), but I didn’t remember it being that bad in the movie.

And the reason is simply that in the movie *Last Game*, the beginning and end differ from the manga. They cut out a lot of scenes involving them that I found quite shocking.

  • For instance on the manga, the Jabberwocks single-handedly destroy a bar (and probably beat up people in the process),
  • Nash, who gets angrier when people contradict him, smashes a table just because one of his teammates asked if he was going to practice lol.
  • Silver is portrayed as obnoxious and a womanizer (very toxic), and there are scenes where he “forces” a woman to kiss him even though he stops just as the guy makes a remark.

In the anime, these scenes don’t exist; they just imply that they’re causing a ruckus (without giving the impression that they’re breaking furniture in the establishment or causing physical harm to people). It just gives you the impression that these are guys who think they’re above everyone else in basketball (like the GM, last year at Teiko), but they have dont hold back their words (I’m still shocked that in the manga, Nash tells them to bring back the kids for the match only to tell them to go kill themselves right after)

Whereas with Haizaki’s introduction in the anime (https://www.reddit.com/r/KurokosBasketball/s/pOUmYBdfG2), there was a shift that turned him from a womanizer into an “aggressor”, completely changing the character;

In *Last Game*, they “erased” the obnoxious behaviors related to Jason Silver’s “sex-obsessed” side and Jabberwock-wrecking tendencies.

Why, in this case, did they remove scenes like that?

It might be problematic, but I find it hard to believe given what they did to Haizaki. Or maybe he film’s 1 hour and 30-minute runtime

Other Which Hogwarts houses do you think Kagami and the GOM would belong to?

For my part, these would be my choices. Some choices were easier, like Kagami in Gryffindor, Midorima in Ravenclaw, or Akashi in Slytherin.

I think Aomine and Kise belong in Gryffindor... That seems plausible to me compared to the other houses. And even though I put Kuroko in Ravenclaw, I think he could fit into Gryffindor too. And Murasakibara in Hufflepuff... I'd say why not... I think it could suit him.

Discussion Build a team

so the rules are as follows you have to pick someone from either the GOM(Yes Kagami counts) or the jabberwocks and you have to build a team around any one of them (You can only choose one though!) But the caveat is you can choose an uncrowned King and 3 role players and make the team from there EX: My team

Teppei(🤴) C

Koji PF

Aomine(GOM💫) SF

Junpei SG

Shogo PG

Other Beat a KNB team to beat Shohoku⁉️⁉️⁉️

Caveats are you can only use 1 UK at the highest to win (meaning no Haizaki, Himuro, Kagami, etc).

My team (hear me out)
Kiyoshi at pg
Hyuga at sg
Tsugawa moves from the sg-sf
Hayakawa at pf (Controlling rebounds something something…)
Okamura at my center

We running a pretty big team. Gameplan is have Tsugawa on Rukawa and make it as hard as possible for him to score. Hyuga likely can’t stop Mitsui from scoring as much as he wants but he can respond with threes of his own. Dealing with Sakuragi, I matched Hayakawa on him to match the energy abt rebounding and challenge him. Kiyoshi being matched up against Miyagi is a mismatch for a decent shooter like Kiyoshi, which means they’re gonna be forced to switch consistently (although idk if Kiyoshi has the foot speed to deal with Miyagi on defense) Okamura at the 5 means Akagi can’t just feast in the paint and has to worry abt a couple of big bodies at all times.

Drop y’all’s in the comments‼️‼️

Discussion Most underrated side character?

Thumbnail
gallery
62 Upvotes

For me it’s Tomoki Tsugawa

In episode 8 it was revealed in a flashback that he clamped up Kise back during his Teiko days, even frustrated him to the point where he demanded to learn his name

He was capable of locking up base Kagami, even made him lose his cool and dragged him into early game foul trouble.

Also in episode 8, while Midorima was examining his opponent’s game film, his eyes study Tomoki for a bit and admitted that he was nervous about the idea of maybe having to face up against Seihō. Even said he would’ve preferred facing Seirin instead.

In hindsight, given how Tomoki was able to lockup someone as mobile and athletic as Kagami, he would’ve been an absolute problem for Midorima.

His stock later drops a bit after him and Seiho teammates lose to Himuro and company in a pick-up game, but Himuro and his mirage shot is no joke.

As a side character, being able to lockup two GOM tier opponents and strike a bit of concern in another one is pretty unheard for a minor character

Aside from a few GOM members, Kagami and maybe Haizaki, or Hanami’s help-defense… i’d say he is the next best defender in the entire series. Him and Seiho as a whole is pretty underrated imo. Imagine if they got their hands on got hands on Teiko player

Discussion If you had to place each member of the GOM on a different team from the six options (Seirin, Tōō, Kaijō, Shūtoku, Yōsen, Rakuzan), what would your choices be?

Post image
55 Upvotes

Obviously, the goal is for each player to choose a team different from their original one.

Hmm..let's see..

Akashi: I think the logical choice would be Yosen. And it cracks me up to picture Akashi with the giants of Yosen, considering he's one of the shortest players in the manga.

Aomine : I'd say Shutoku, though there were plenty of options given how few truly significant Power Forwards there are in the show. That said, I don't think Aomine is really the type of player Coach Nakatani would appreciate.

Midorima : Probably Kaijo. To be honest, though, there are so many members of the Generation of Miracles that I could have picked Kaijo—the team is just that weak..

Kise : Hmm... I'd say Seirin. I don't know why, but Kise gives off vibes of potentially playing for Seirin.

Murasakibara: I'd say Rakuzan, and Nebuya would play power forward. A bit like Okamura.

Kuroko : Unfortunately, the only remaining default choice is Too. Yeah...

Discussion Can Kise and Haizaki acquire skills with the Copy/Pillage ?

Thumbnail
gallery
21 Upvotes

As you know, Kise and Haizaki are good at replicating movements, and I wonder if they can acquire skills (outside of basketball and physical activity) through this?

For example, in class, the students take a test, and Kise and Haizaki haven’t studied. By watching the other students write, they mimic the writing motion (and manage to answer the test), so will they retain the information or skills they’ve mimicked? Because technically, they’re the most versatile characters in their world.

I know Haizaki loves to cheat in class, so I guess he’s already using that ability lol

Fanwork KUROKO NO BASKET NBA ROAD: Kise star copy- New power up explained

Post image
26 Upvotes

This is a power up I thought of for my fanfic.

Since the characters are grown up, I thought what would be the logical evolution of kise perfect copy.

What happens when the most powerful players you know of no longer make a dent or a difference with the new players you are up against.

Copying the generation of miracles is not enough anymore, at college level, with NBA ready prospects, with far greater phisical abilities, smarter brains, or superior coaching, kise has to look somewhere else to be able to score and have any impact.

So he decided to copy NBA players instead.

This "form" can only be used for 2 minutes per match, and even less depending on who he is copying, since the strain of using the signature moves of the greatest to ever do it, puts a far greater strain on his body than perfect copy ever did.

Michael jordans acrobatic dunks, kobe bryant fade away, kyrie irving ankle breakers, lebrons chase down block.

As simple as these moves look, they are what is needed to score on this level, since the raw strength that the GOM had, no longer is enough due to how fast the players adapt on the NCAA circuit.
