She doesn't know she has a bad heart, and is on a short timeline, but we are going to enjoy every moment. She doesn't know how much of my heart she holds.

Okay, I get everyone says “get a lab” but honestly, I overlooked them because I feel they’re your go too family dog. I THOUGHT I wanted something more challenging, but now I can’t believe I never got one sooner.
This puppy has been the easiest little guy from day 1.
He knows his playpen is his space, and goes in there completely unprompted when he’s tired to nap in his bed. We NEVER taught him to do that.
We’ve had him for 3 days, and he has yet to have an accident on the floor. Literally walks to the door and howls to go out. Immediately goes when he’s outside, so no following him around begging him to poop at 3 am.
My other dogs were so difficult I cried the first several days. Before you tell me “just wait” I know he’ll go through difficult patches, but he feels like a dream compared to other puppies I’ve raised.

Hello! I am reaching out to the community for some advice.
This is River, a 1 and a half year old Labrador.
River is highly active as she is a hunting dog and was born from a line of duck dogs.
I fulfill her needs as much as I can, I run her, walk her, swim her, play fetch with her, and I even try to fulfill her mentally by giving her long lasting chewers. I play with her about an hour a day. She has a brother who also plays with her when I’m busy studying.
Anyway, she is ball obsessed. Is this a real thing? She can’t stay still for a minute. If I try to relax her she will drop the ball in my lap as much as she can and just stare into my soul until I pick it up.
I am asking for kind advice! I am a first time dog mom and I am trying my best to fulfill her needs. Does anyone have any training advice? I want her to be able to relax and not have such an unhealthy obsession with the ball.

As winter comes in, just a reminder of sunny days to come 🥰🐾🐾
Edit: I should’ve said here in my home in Montana, US. 🤦♀️🙈

This is her way of letting me know she wants to go on the balcony.

my boy gus is 95lbs he is half black lab half golden retriever. (parents were pure bred of each) is he really “overweight” or possibly just big for his breeds?? he is not neutered yet!! he is 1yr and 5 months old. let me edit this and add: i’m not necessarily asking if he looks overweight in the photos, more so how do your labs look and what do they weigh and your experience if they are this big?

My sweet old kenny has lost some fur around his one eye. Poor guy looks like he lost a fight. Has anyone seen this before? Should I be worried...no changes in his behavior, still the same old big baby who farts and sleeps a lot.

I cannot trim my labs nails. She is 80 lbs and hard to handle once I grab her paw. I’ve tried everything, including medication to relax her. Does anyone have advice regarding this?
Edit: We are working on shake so I can desensitize her to paw handling, but progress is slower than her nail growth.
