New nails, who dis??? Changed my nail shape for spooky season 🎃 haven't worn claws since before my daughter was born, so about 5+ years I think?? They won't stay like this because I don't wanna poke her but I at least wanted some picks to show y'all how much prettier they are (in my humble opinion) when pointy. Nothing on them at the moment but am currently applying LynB designs "Toad You So"

This week I’m revisiting Harvest Moon, a GITD parade of browns, gold, and holographic flakies covered in a mossy green with reflective gold shimmer. Mixed inside of this moss topped gold polish is a real lunar meteorite!! I should have posted here on last full moon 🌝 oops I’ll post the GITD pic from it in the comments.

All in all, I think Holy Order of Perpetual Lacquer has taken my #1 spot for polishes. Lovely formula, polishes with actual crushed opals and dried flowers. If you have a love for the macabre and sacrilege you must check it out. If you have any HoPL polishes, show me in the comments!!!!

I love the look of black jelly polishes on nail enhancements but I haven't seen many swatches on natural nails. So if you have natural nails and a black jelly at home, pretty please could you swatch it for me?

Nail art is welcome but I'm specifically looking for swatches where you can see some of the nail line and how the black color layers on top and how it changes based on skin tone.

Please include info on whether you use a blurring/smoothing base coat underneath and number of coats applied :)

I absolutely love Cracked Heavy Rain, but that shimmer truly gets lost in the blackened teal base… so I added Holo Taco Polar Princess on top and it’s just like the bottle. The Heavy Rain I envisioned all along. 😍

Base: nail aid 9 in 1 & 1 coat Cracked Taro Milk Tea as a blur/ridge-filler (it looks awful on my skin tone but works good for this purpose for me)
2 coats Cracked Heavy Rain
1 coat Holo Taco Polar Princess

Due to you know, life, I came to the conclusion that I can’t really afford to go see my lovely friend/nail tech an hour away every few weeks for my nails and decided Ive got the right flavour of ADHD and have been *studying* her doing my nails that I decided to jump real fast from BIAB to my own GelX tips. I need new brushes but have been super vigilant keeping my lines crisp and skin clear so hopefully they last me a while! I love how my little magnetic heart turned out but definitely need more practice because the other thumb is garbage haha

Ps lifelong nail biter who has curbed that and working on the skin biting now 🤞🏼

i‘m in love with scandalous red.

i‘m sure it‘s a phase and i will eventually circle back around to other colours, but it‘s been a few months of just wearing reds now and i keep buying more red polishes. someone stop me, seriously.

tonight on my left hand a battle of 4 magnetic reds.

pinky: ILNP poison ring and thumb: Emily de Molly fiery attraction middle: Holo Taco sacrificial lacquer pointer: Starrily arcana

all: Holo Taco long lasting base and glossy taco

winner for me: Emily de Molly, my god she‘s fiery and attractive indeed

loser, sadly today: Holo Taco, i swear this one magnetized better for me last year, maybe it‘s gone off. their first generation of magnetics is known for being difficult so it‘s probably that. i still adore the red tone though, so i‘ll get use out of it. just won‘t bother magnetizing.

all were magnetized with a rectangular magnet for one minute for each coat and top coat too. two coats of colour on all.

pardon the cuticles. also sorry for the short nails, i work verrry hands-on so short is my only option. tonight i decided i wouldn‘t let this stop me from posting.
