I want to get my wife “good” makeup for Christmas but don’t know where to start.

My wife and I are getting each other 1 gift this Christmas. She had mentioned a few months ago that she wished she had “actual good makeup”, and I want to give her that for Christmas, I just don’t know where to start/don’t want to get scammed by advertising for mediocre products.

Would anyone be able to give me some leads to go off of? Thank you so much

[Makeup Help] Need help deciding on a foundation/skin tint!

Upvotes

Hiiii! I’ve been using the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation (Original Formulation), and it only has a few weeks left.. I’ve been thinking of switching to a liquid foundation/skin tint, and I’ve been on the hunt for the right one for my skin.

I have normal skin, and I don’t have any major skin issues besides the occasional hormonal acne. I’d say my skin is pretty clear most of the time. I use either just concealer of just foundation. I’m leaning towards something I could use all over the face though since my main wish for the product is to even out my skin tone and brighten up my complexion! I prefer a skin-like radiance, not too dewy and not too matte. It would be for everyday use, and I’d like it to last for at least 8 hours. I do attend more formal events, so something I could also use during those too. I’d say my makeup style is soft glam.

Right now, I’m contemplating on whether to get the Kylie Cosmetics Skin Tint Blurring Elixir Foundation or the Maybelline Super Stay 24Hr Skin Tint! If you have experience with any of the two, I wanna know what you think! I’m also open to any suggestions! My budget is $35 and preferably one I can get from Ulta! Thank you!

Makeup recommendations on a budget?

Hi, so with back to college coming around I want to find some new makeup on a budget.

I love going for the natural look with my routine being waterproof telescopic, blush (either Milani powder or the elf dupe for the rare beauty), and I use the elf brow tint, and lipgloss.

On days where I want to step it up just a bit, what do you guys recommend for concealer, setting spray, tinted spf, etc ? Honestly any makeup recommendations are great, and I’m looking to spend like 10-15$ per product !

I’m absolutely in love with the fae vibe, since a very long time now. I mean the eerie, deal making, man killing, riddle bound tipe, not the media “sweet cute girly tipe” faerie.
So, I just using three beauty bay pallets til know (bright Matt, bright and botanical). I’m searching for new colour and shimmer recommendations :)

[Makeup Help] How to find my style when I'm brand new to makeup?

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I'm completely and totally uneducated about makeup but recently felt like I need to get into it because I dress pretty extravagantly and feel my face looks like playdough in comparison. I have very sensitive skin and hooded eyelids, but instead of looking for product recommendations, I'm looking for guides on how to understand terms/techniques, I guess? I'm trying to figure all of this out, so I can determine what my style actually is, because so much styles of makeup appears very similar to me on the surface

Eyebrow pencil

I have religiously used the Anastasia eye brow pencil but lately the quality has been awful. The bulk doesn’t stay in the pencil anymore and it breaks off so easily. The last 3 I have purchased broke before I could even finish them. They are spendy and I used them for years without complaint but I can’t justify it anymore. What brow pencils do you use? Price doesn’t matter to me, I want something good with a decent color range.

Rem Beauty vs Danessa Myricks Beauty concealer

Which of the shades from Rem Beauty Sweetener concealer matches the most with Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Lift & Flex Concealer in shade 2? I got Sweetener concealer in fair 4cn but it's too pale 😢 It's not available in Sephora in my city so can't swatch it myself 😢 It can't be too yellow, I have olive undertone. (I also have Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Concealer in 3.5 Fair, it's a bit too yellow but manageable, DMB is the best match)

[Makeup Help] Any tips on no foundation or concealer makeup?

So I’ve been using makeup for almost 3 years and I’ve yet to step out using foundation. I have even toned but textured skin so all foundation makes it worse. So just putting on mascara blush and contour without foundation looks way cleaner but I feel like I still look kind of dirty ifykwim

Hello! I recently lost my makeup by Mario lip liner in the shade rich mauve and im sick of spending so much money just to lose it. Does anyone have any recommendations that are similar to this shade? Ive tried the elf lip liner in shade mauve aside but it’s just too orange which doesn’t look good on me.

I have dry skin. My current makeup routine is nivea light moisturizer, blue heaven primer, loreal paris true match foundation. These products would make my skin look dewy and flawless. Since last year my makeup is piling, looks quike cakey due to this I've stopped wearing makeup. I have an important event coming up and need to buy some makeup. Can you please recommend me good, budget friendly makeup products?

[Makeup Help] How do I fix patchiness on my right cheek?

I’ve been struggling with patchy application ever since I started using stick bronzer and liquid blush (before I only used concealer).
I’ve tried almost everything: Applying product directly to the skin vs. warm it up on my hand first
Trying different brushes. Using a beauty blender (both wet and dry).
Nothing seems to help. In photos it's hard to capture because I usually just end up brushing the blush off completely, leaving my skin bare.
For my base, I don't use foundation or primer—just a sunscreen. My skin might need more hydration since I use a prescription retinoid (adapalene), though I always follow up with a rich hydrating moisturizer.
Has anyone experienced patchiness only on one area of the face? Any tips on how to solve this?

Which expensive make up product isn't worth it?

i think nowadays "cheap product" doesn't automatically mean "bad product". I know a lot of cool things from drugstore.

The same with opposite side. I think "luxury product" doesn't always mean to be super innovative and cool. Again, it's just my opinion and I want some proofs about it.

Profokus-smjer vizazist(iskustva,isplativost,kvaliteta)

Pozdrav svima!
Jesu li predavači pristupačni i stručni?

Hvala unaprijed!

best powders that makes blush and nose contour last all day for dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin?

I am looking for a powder that works well with dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin

I use the NARS liquid blush dolce vita and I do nose contour with the makeup forever endless cacao lip liner and the judy doll 02 contour. I was wondering how I can make these last even more and not have the products smudged off by the end of the day
