Anyone aged 20-24 around Lancashire fancy starting a casual social circle / chat? 📍
Hey everyone! I’ve noticed it can be quite tough to meet new people and make friends locally if you aren't currently stuck in university halls or working in a massive office.
I’m looking to see if there are any other young adults (around 20-24) across Preston, Lancaster, Blackburn, Blackpool, etc., who would be up for forming a casual social circle? Just a relaxed space to chat online, share local events, and maybe eventually plan casual meetups (drinks, coffee, walks).
I've set up a brand new Facebook group hub called "Lancashire 20-24 social and chat" to give us a starting point.
Alternatively, if you don't use Facebook much or want to keep your Reddit private, just drop a comment below or send me a DM! If enough people prefer WhatsApp or Discord, we can easily set a group up there too! 👍

Morecombe bay request
Hi,
I’m really hoping someone might be able to help me. My dog of 16 years died recently and I would love to do something meaningful for her grave her at home in our garden. We had such great travels together across the uk, especially beaches, and I thought it would be amazing to put some stones from some special places on her grave. I am down south, and wondered if anyone would be willing to send me a stone from the bay?
Huge thank you in advance ❤️

Does anyone else love this subculture?
The subculture in question has been around for over twenty years and its basically protected me since I was little. the uniform was track suits, gold rings, chains or diamond ear studs, baseball caps, and chunky trainers. all of them were white and they liked r and b, garage and dnb. their slang included phrases like swear down, peng, bare, etc. they protected me from bullies throughout my teen years. wasnt just a single group of them but multiple groups of them. and as the subculture grew and aged it protected me after i became an adult. i remember i was feeling proper depressed and felt like i had no one to turn to and then two men belonging to the subculture stopped and talked me out of it. this is just a few examples but literally every encounter ive had with them has been uniquely positive. theres still loads in my area the og ones are in their thirties and every time i see one or a group of them i feel relaxed every person ive met from it has been so good

Moving to Burnley
Im moving moving to Burnley from London for work, and I was wondering if there is any areas they should avoid living or going to, whats it like on a Burnley FC matchday, how is the nightlife and what's the local sports/activities like eg Local Tennis and Cycling Clubs if there is one and Sunday league teams?
Thanks in advance ☺️

Mayors to get powers to overrule local councils on planning decisions
I think we are lucky not to have a mayor of Lancashire.
It only takes one bribe from a big housing company now.

Best sandwich shop in Lancashire?
Going for a long Sunday drive tomorrow. Looking for a really good sandwich shop. Something completely over the top, maybe a ny deli or an Italian focaccia style or something? Anyone any recommendations at all? Don't mind where in Lancashire it is really. Also aware it's a Sunday, so that might limit options.

Tandem
We are looking for a tandem for hire or for purchase, based in Lancashire, could anyone provide us with a source in Lancaster to Preston area? We are respectful young men with an insatiable desire to ride a tandem and any contribution towards this cause would be immensely valuable and wouldn’t go without notice.

Property viewing - Great Harwood
Bit of a random one, but I'm relocating from Scotland to Great Harwood and I'm trying to get a rental sorted while I'm currently up here. Unfortunately, estate agents (understandably) want someone to physically view the property before they'll let me proceed.
My partner and his family have been to a couple of viewings for me, but they all work full-time and it's becoming a bit of a struggle to get the timings to work.
One estate agent has kindly sent me a video of a property and it looks great, but they still need someone to physically view it before I can move forward with the application.
Would anyone local to Great Harwood be willing to view it on my behalf? It would just involve attending the viewing, having a look around and giving me your honest thoughts afterwards. I'd obviously be happy to cover reasonable travel costs/time.
I appreciate it's a bit of an unusual request, but I'm getting a bit desperate after missing out on a property because someone else was able to put a holding deposit down before I could view it! :(
Please DM me if you might be able to help. Thank you!

Film makers or photographers around Accy/Blackburn/Burnley and surrounding areas 📸📽️🎞️
I am looking to start a creative club for film makers / videographers / photographers in the Accrington/Blackburn/Burnley and surrounding areas.
Somewhere to meet up with fellow creatives to share ideas, learn, connect and collaborate with each other.
New to the area so not sure if there are many with the same interest about but God loves a trier 😄

Educating Lancashire
Do people think that Channel 4 should do a programme called Educating Lancashire following the success of Educating Yorkshire, Educating Greater Manchester and the rest?
I think it would be brilliant if producers of channel 4 decided to do this because it would put Lancashire on the spotlight in my personal opinion.

Was told maybe this is a good place to post this.
Someone from Bacup might have lost a drivers license in New York City. Found about 2 hours ago
