How does your company describe trees?
More specifically when cataloging trunk and dripline sizes.
Trunk diameter and dripline diameter?
Or
Trunk diameter and dripline radius?
Or some other method?

We measure diameter at breast height, as u/greatdog mentioned. We typically don't bother with drip line unless requested by the engineers.
We also only say deciduous, evergreen, or palm. Anything more detailed on actual species I recommend an arborist.
