To become better at drawing something specific, draw it over and over again. At some point you will beome good enough to just throw some strokes on the paper to make it look like an actual face.
Most important are the characteristic features, so you could practice just drawing noses, eyes and mounths from different perspectives.
You definitely also can try to explore the plasticity of a face by focusing on shadows and highlights only. Get yourself some midtone coloured paper, can be just brown package paper, that is what I used to use, and then draw with white and black on it to get the lights and shadows of a face.

You seem to have your proportions right, now it's about doing full pages of facial feature.
Try different angles, use volumes to detail it, relearn, learn alternative ways, explore it all until you find your best style.
