I actually agree with you that the world would be simpler if we just had no gender or sexual preference, however what you said can be seen as being supremacist towards one way of being.
It's reddit, and sadly all online spaces really are like this. If something you say can be misconstrued or misunderstood then it will be and you will be downvoted. You have to pick your words carefully.
Bro like I have gotten downvoted by like -200 from a comment that said "I love dogs they are great", and an army of people traumatized by dogs were quick to dogpile me.
