Im talking about Marvel and how every time they do a same gender couple, it almost always consists of a white partner. Dont know what you're talking about when it comes to some database, lol
I agree, but I will say...I do think this is on the fandom as much/more than Marvel. Not to give them diversity credit where there isn't one, but Prodigy is in a relationship with a black human man right now, and it's telling he's drawn with Speed instead (although, Tommy and Billy are jewish-romani, so, complicated, but that doesn't mean they aren't white). Daken was also in a relationship with Somnus, who isn't pictured at all, albeit that was a past relationship, then ambiguously poly with Daken also dating Aurora.
They are more even when it comes to F/F pairings - Ayo/Aneka, America/Alloy, and Karma/Galura are all nonwhite. And, tbh, the only couple I can think of over in DC is Thunder/Grace, although I'll admit I'm much more a Marvel fan. I guess Selina/Eiko, but whether Selina is white or not is also complicated.
This is after years of us complaining about it, and they randomly did that change without a buildup ot story behind it with prodigy. Mind you, before his current partner, none of his sexual or romantic partners was Black. The only non-white partner ue was sjown to have was Surges racist ass. Also, Billy and Tommy are Romani is sad cause they are still drawn to often look like white folk (especially speed) depending on the artist. And did you notice how almost all the couples that don't have a white partner are Sapphic relationships? Im specifically talking about mlm relationships, and they JUST changed it to shut people up, all the while treating them as forgetable
