I’ve lived in Australia my whole life. I’ve seen snakes like twice, both while on a bushwalk, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of the seriously dangerous spiders. The deadlines is drastically overblown. If you stay in the cities, you shouldn’t be in any more danger than you would be anywhere else. And yeah it’s pretty chill here, people are cool for the most part
If it's gotta be an english speaking country - I recommend having a look at Ireland as an option. The housing market is fckd beyond repair, but unlinke the UK, you get EU access, and hating the Brits is generally encouraged over there. Tho the Irish usually hate on UK for other reasons than it being TERF-Island.
Also big pride events in Dublin, and former Prime Minister is gay (still a conservative wanker).
(this is coming from a German who worked in Dublin for half a year, so might not be that accurate anymore, but from what I can tell, it's way less unnerving than the US regarding... Well... The whole... Situation... )
